Thanks Trapper thats helps clarify things and it's kind of what I was trying to say.
I thought that that Lugols was near the ideal ratio needed by the body because I read it on Iodine4health. I know it does vary between sexes
I forget sometimes that ideas have developed and a lot of you here are already Iodine sufficient.
I'm limiting my Iodine because although I am almost entirely free of colitis symptoms, I am aware that Amato took about 24 drops of Lugols and thought he caused an aggravation of his colitis as a result. I'm thinking he should have kept the Iodine low and taken extra KI instead which he didnt realise at the time because he kept vitamins and antioxidants separate
I'm not supplementing potassium though I do eat a lot of potassium rich food.
I was wondering if I could add it in some form to the Lugols though
