Re: conventional confusion
yes indeed, i am here to learn from the adepts.
although i am having trouble understanding your post. are you suggesting that these dietary recommendations are suggested only to be pain free? i believe it is because the liver has a great deal of trouble processing the toxins generated by phase one in preparation for phase 2 to clear them out. as i have read. the back up of these toxins causes free radical damage and harm to the liver.
can i explain this better? will try to.
2 of the 6 pathways in phase 2 liver processes are not functioning well. the glutathione pathway is responsible for conjugation of pesticides, heavy metals, alcohol, among others and depends on the tripeptide glutathione to do this. the foods recommended are as in the 1st post.
the 2nd pathway not functioning too well is the glycination pathway, this is primarily responsible for conjugation of salicylic acids. the foods it is suggested to avoid are those high in salicylic acids - all of those which are recommended for glutathionation above.
perhaps, since the foods recommended for glutathionation play a supportive role which may be met by other types of supplements (esp the precursors to glutathione)it might be more prudent to to avoid the foods which are contributing to heavy backlog of toxins and stress, namely the salicylic acids.
would dearly love to be told i do not have to cut out salicylates, sigh. they make up a large part of my diet..... hmm, may have just figured something out there!
