Invincible is in the UK and she got pickling lime...I believe it was Mrs. Wages'.(?) She's not on the forum for a few days, but maybe you could email her, or wait till she returns...


I'm in Canada and had a lot of trouble finding 'pickling lime'. It doesn't sell here, and chemical houses sell C.H. in large amounts...Finally I ordered from someone on ebay the Calcium hydroxide. It is aquarium quality, and since I've read that even pickling lime has impurites, I feel pretty good about the aquarium stuff.


You might check "calcium hydroxide" on ebay. This fellow I ordered from ships worldwide...but it's pricey. It cost me 5.00 for a pound, and 17.00 + insurance....
howver, after spending hours and hours looking, I figured my time and health are worth this much. :-)
