Re: Gallbladder flush - How long until back and side pain ends
Tell me about it! After 2 days of fasting on organic apple juice, I can hardly stand the smell of it. I may never drink apple juice again.
There are lots of recipes for
Liver Flushes and many people have modified them to their own abilities. I personally keep a mild 1/4 of a 1 mg xanax nearby in case it is a bad night. The original Dr. Clark
Liver Flush can be found on this site under 'cleanses'.
Actually I do my
Liver Flushes like this:
Eat lowfat in the morning (yogurt, lo-fat bread with jam,
Celery w/lo-fat cream cheese).
Eat nothing after 2 pm
At 6 take 15
Epsom Salt pills (1 T in water if you can stand it)
You won't be hungry because of the salt. Drink lots of water after each round
At 8 take 15 more
at 10-10:20 or so after you've stopped running to the bathroom, take 1/2
OO (Olive-Oil) and 1 1/2 cup of grapefruit, holding your nose, drink thru a straw, chase it with whatever helps (pineapple juice was great but I'm diabetic so I do diet dp). I hate the taste and feel of the OO, but grapefruit made it easier than lemon.
Next morning after 6 AM take 15 more
Two hours later take 15 more.
Two hours later eat a lite lunch.
That's a total of 4 T of
Epsom Salt in a 2 day period.
I think reason for the salt is to open up the bile ducts for easier passage and also clean you out. Same reason in the morning, but for me it isn't enough. I follow the salt up with a P&B shake because I seem to get lots of stones stuck in the gooey walls of the colon and it causes stinky gas. So I do a little more thorough
Colon Cleanse directly after a liver cleanse.
You should do it on a day you don't have much else to do because you will find yourself in the bathroom a lot that morning. Usually I am back to normal after noon.
