Not seeing a particular persons face in a dream

Ok, first some background info...about a year and a half ago, my cousin calls me up from Europe telling me that he has a co-worker who is going to visit New York and the co-worker needed a place to stay and I said, its fine, my house is open. Well, the co-worker comes with his wife and his wife's friend. The wife's friend and I hit it off..both of us in our 30's, both single and unattached and it seemed like an instant attraction, only thing is, she lives 4,000 miles away...anyway, they stayed a week and the friend and I kept in touch...and over a period of a year, she came to visit me 2 other times and I went to Europe to visit her....

Now the dream (which I've had twice):

Her and I go out on the town and have a fun date..you know, the usual, dinner, dancing, taking a walk around the city holding hands, and then the night cap at my place...ok, that's fine..but, during the dream it never freaked me out but thinking about it, it kind of does....everything about her is there except her facial features....her hair style, body, attitude, voice, etc are all her..even the shape of her head (or face) says its her..but, for some reason, I can't see her eyes, nose, and mouth. Also, I can see other peoples faces that happen to be around us but just not hers.

What do you make of this? I might be leaving some other details out so ask away and it might trigger other events of the dream that I might have left out...but, again, what does this mean?
