I , like these astronauts, believe other life exists, however the distances between possible life-bearing planets is so vast, that it is hard to believe they would be so advanced that they could travel here...I mean we can barely get probes to the edge of our solar system...but, maybe some civilization is getting probes here(that's what those discs are!!), and if something goes wrong they have ability to destroy them(or nothing ever goes wrong with them)...best hope for contact is through radiowaves..many think that may happen in the next 20 years...maybe not.
