Charity begins at home, not in someone else's backyard.
The billions and billions of $$$ that are wasted (and which could have far better use on the elderly) on pre-emptive strikes and the costly occupation of other countries is wasteful, wasteful, wasteful. Superfluous expenditure that could be put to far better use.

America is not the policeman of the World, even though Bush thinks it is: this is what the United Nations was set up to do; and yes military spending is numbero uno, but only in DEFENCE of the realm (which costs far less) not in open AGGRESSION against Iraq and now possibly Iran as well(which costs far more) on top of which add ALL of the American military spending on their bases in Europe and elsewhere in the World.
In addition, most people don't earn enough money to save anything for their retirement, so it is the duty of Government to "provide" by prudent spending of the exorbitant taxation that is levied by them year on year on year on year...
