I like Dr. Schultz's liver cleanse, on the 5th day you have 5 tabelspoons of olive oil and that is the most oil you take. I can take all the nasty herbs, why oil is such a problem for me I'm not sure. Actually I have done several flushes too, and really when you get enough grapefruit juice in there with the olive oil and shake it up real well it helps quite a bit. Seeing as it was just an occaisional thing, not an everyday thing I think that helped me tolerate it more. :) The oil isn't why I stopped doing the flushes actually, I just never had a good experience with them--not sure why. I feel wonderful after doing Schultz's cleanse, so much energy and helps my brain be clearer also. I do a
Colon Cleanse right before too so its probably a combination of both. Schultz's is more expensive and more time consuming, but I just get such great results I'll never do another epsom salt, olive oil, or orthophosphoric flush again. Cleansing all the way for me baby...I need to buy me a few more of the herbs and I'll be all set to make mix my own up so it will not be near as expensive that way. Are you thinking about doing the
Hulda Clark flush with
Epsom Salts ? If so, she says you can put half of a lemon in each dose of espom salts and let me tell you that makes it much easier to get down! :) She said you could have a little brown
Sugar or ketchup after to get the taste out of your mouth and that is very helpful too. Or else it seems to linger forever...
I take the cod liver oil for it's high concentration of essential fatty acids in the form of omega 3s. Essential fatty acids are great for a lot of things but it's been so long since I did the research I am not sure if I can remember it acurrately enough to retell it...They are good for allergies, brain function, ezema and psorisis, candida, basically every cell in your body...and I know there is more. I take a tablespoon each day, and my little fifteen month old girl takes a teaspoon. It is emulsified and orange flavored so she thinks it tastes wonderful and is a treat! :) The EFA's also make your skin more elastic and I have not had any new stretch marks this pregnancy, though there were so many from Angel's that it probably is but a small victory...but be happy in the little things! :) It will also help my skin go back to its original location when I lose the weight from both of these pregnancies, in combination with the skin brushing. :)
Have a good weekend! Caitlin Lorraine
