I just went 40 total. 31 water, 3 juice, 2 water ,4 juice ,on refeed now. Weight holding close to ending weight on fast at 218.4 and was 217 end fast but that likely already had some water weight in there from salty juice.Clamato to be precise drank it on purpose trying to up my sodium. Read my recent posts for reasons.
I am planning and watching what I eat on refeed and for next several months till eating right becomes a habit.
Most people that have successfully kept off the weight and have pm'ed a lot of them directly do the following.
If you aren't prepared to do the following you are doomed to fail. Sorry have to word it that strongly!
You have to do exercise . Weights about 3 to 4 x week, 3x full body or 4x split should be sufficient like 30 to 45 minutes a day type of thing.
Aerobics also useful like 30 to maybe 45 minutes of that.
5x week.
You are still welcome to do other things, yoga, kinect 360 whatever the more exercise you do the better but within reasonable limits don't become an exercise aholic!
Next of course people that keep it off successfully some for years drop this eating 6x day crap or even 3x day crap and eat when they are actually hungry. So they might skip breakfast every day , lunch sometimes and just eat maybe one meal a day if they aren't really hungry or are busy.
They don't snack much between or after meals. Maybe treat once or twice an week and then watch the calories of the snack.
They usually use some type of intermittent fastings see my other posts like warrior diet, fast 5 or eat stop eat. The last one seems very doable am trying that one out for next month.
and they learn about calories and start eating the lower calorie choices at home ,eating out. They drink water and diet pops some don't like diet drinks well fine then drink water ,they don't drink much fruit juices or sugary drinks.
You can still eat some junk food once in awhile its debatable if its really as bad as people say it is ,father is 93 turning 94 doing ok and lived on red meat, deli meat like hot dogs, salami,corned beef and ate tons of white
Sugar and white flour in his life mother cooked like crazy.
Whatever still can't hurt chosing some healthier choices like brown rice sometimes, whole grain bread,pasta,etc.
Do all the above and you should be able to keep it off. You can follow my posts on refeed and will hope to give some monthly updates to keep me honest.I have set my line in the sand even with post fast salt/carb gain and its around 220.If hit that then likley fast on juice another 3 days or whatever see what that does .but think the intermittent eat stop eat and eating when hungry and exercise will work for me.It has worked for others.
But if you go back to old ways no exercise,eat what you want when you want, snack, drink
Sugar drinks, eat candy and crap then expect to gain it back again.
The weight on fasting is not all water weight or weight of food in your colon although some people say it is. Its impossible to lose like 40
pounds of water on a 40 day water fast. You lose maybe 5 to 10
pounds of water and food in your digestive track rest is fat.Around pound a day on water roughly 1/2 a day on juice.
Some really obese people might have 20
pounds or more in their colons but would say thats more like 300 or 400 plus pound people or people with serious constipation issues.
And water weight is not usually going to be like 50 pounds unless again you are huge and have some serious problems with your body.
So not sure what you lost what your starting and ending weights were last time . and how fast you gained it back and what you did above if anything to keep it off.
