The dream could have stemmed from you being afraid for your physical or mental well-being.
The last dream though is a common story from those who have sleep paralysis. Although most people can not move while they see this dark man. It has been documented through the ages that many have suffered this and many have seen a figure of a dark man. While common many others see an old haggard woman, and some even see both. The reason for this has been very much a debate over the years from some saying it is real and others saying it is a hallucination from the suffering being still half asleep and dreaming.
I have had this happen to me a couple times when I was younger. The best thing I found is not to worry about it. When I let it go I was much better. I still have moments where I can't move but I try not worry about it and it all turns out ok. My husband used to get this 7 or 8 times a night. I truly hope this helps!

Here is a link that might help. I notice when people let the fear of it dominate their lives it can get much worse but the good side is if you shrug it off and focus on other things it will in time go away or just disappear. :D
