Hey all,
I have been researching and trying to follow the protocol posted here from Grizz and a couple others following Dr B's
Iodine protocol. I have been 'sort of' fully dialed in with the right components, but didn't follow 100% for about a month so far.
I had taken Propecia for about 2-3 months and realized I was having the sexual side effects "very few users experience" according to the doctor. Well, I stopped taking it years ago, and I have had the side effects still to this day: erectile dysfunction. I noticed as some time went by it had gotten worse for me, with eventual swollen prostate, aching sensation like I was sitting on a ping pong ball, weak urine, moody. Been tested for cancer, nothing. Took way too many volleys of antibitics when the doc said it was a prostate infection, and tried flomax for a few months with no change at all.
I haven't had insurance for a couple years, and every thing I try has done nothing to change any of this other than taking l-arginine which helped some for awhile, but not as much any more.
I picked up most of the elements for the
Iodine protocol, but I am not sure if they are good enough or if I am wasting my money. Since starting it all, I feel like I want sex more, but things still haven't changed physically.
My voice has dropped back down an octave at least, constantly clearing my throat, the tip of my nose and hands are FREEZING cold now, sleep is a bit wonky, the pain in the pelvis isn't as bad, but it still feels swollen and 'clenched'.
My doses and supplements are:
L-arg = 1000mg
L-cit = 1000mg
Selenium = 400mcg
DHEA = 50mg
Boron Chelate = 6mg
Zinc = 100mg
Kelp
Iodine = 720mcg
Vit K = 200mcg
Hawthorne Extract 700mg
B Complex = B6-20mg, B12-24mcg
Garlic = 2000mg
Walgreens Iodine Tincture (2% in alcohol) = Paint testicles with 10 drops 2x a day
Cal/Mag = 325mg
Ginkgo = 80mg
I am not really feeling much of any changes other than slight detox from the iodine, like sinuses draining a lot and soar throat and voice change which I understand are standard.
Am I taking enough Iodine? Is it really slow to see any effects or changes? Any counsel or experience and advice is greatly appreciated. I really don't want to be this way any more. I'm 41, and living like this for 5 years has been very rough. :(
