Re: pain in breasts
by Dennyoooo 20 y
Pain in the breasts can be caused by many things.A breast exam by a GYN should be your next move if the pain does not go away.Actually a breast exam should be done anyway for preventive purposes.I am newly married and experienced breast pain too. In my case I have huge nipples that are inverted and when they swell up or erect inside the inversion I get breast pain.My GYN using a suction pump got them out and examined them and they are okay.So now when I have breast pain I use a suction pump to pull them out for awhile and my breast pain goes away. Michael,
When researching my book, I was contacted by so many women who had successfully used iodine for breast pain and swelling that I couldn’t possibly publish all the testimonials.
Iodine has been used for breast pain since the 1840s. Women who compound Lugol’s taken by mouth with Lugol’s applied directly to the breast with an absorbent oil like grapeseed oil get excellent results.
There is also an added trick of adding a small dab of progesterone cream to the breasts. That drives iodine into the cells.
It’s important not to stop when the pain gets better or it will come ba ...

The increased sport shouldnt cause breast pain, but possibly increased the need for magnesium, salt, potassium.
Breast pain, FBD may come for a revisit, did for me the first couple of years of iodine. Even once an again after that.
It may have something to do with lowering the iodine dosage;

Not to discredit flax as I’m always open to other explanations but my breast pain has totally disappeared after dropping it 3 days ago.
I don’t know what it’s doing with breast tissue but the only other time I had pain with 50mgs/day iodine was when I added in thyroid supplements. Then I had a return of fibrocystic pain....Flechas told me he’s seen this before when a woman’s regular doctor sees her TSH going up after being put on iodine and puts her on thyroid. Thyroid supplements block iodine from getting into the breast and the pain and swelling returns.
I don’t think it’s an estro ...

The breast pain has a name; FBD (fibrocystic breast disease) typically the pains start at ovulation time, and increases towards the period.
This is a iodine deficiency-syndrome. Docs say it is normal to have breast pain, it is not!! I had this for 20 years, iodine cured it but it took a year before I could say I was 90 % better.
Consider yourself very lucky to have found iodine so early in life!
In my case the pain was a bit on and off, revisits happened the 2 and 3 year of iodine supplementation. All that is left now is a little tension now and again.

I have been battling sore breasts since starting 5 drops SSKI and 2 drops Lugols. I am going to replace lugos 5 drops of Magnescent tomorrow. I had to stop taking my bioidentical hormones that I have been on for 1 year, stopping the hormones gave me 80% relief from the breast tenderness and puffy eyes for a few days but the breast tenderness is back along with puffy face and under my eyes.
I think I may try using some of my bio identical progesterone to see if it helps.

I have read on the forum not take Vit C within 2 hours of taking Iodine so I play it safe and take Iodine in the AM and C in the PM.
I take 12mg-24mg a day right now and am 3 days before period and no breast pain for the 2nd month in a row. :) :)

Just want you to know that every time I’ve gone into a new healing cycle, breast pain returned. There are layers to FBD, you’ll find that the most recent cystic area will heal first.
This pain, though, is not a bad thing, it’s indicative of healing. Sometimes no pain at all, just feelings of energy, electricity.
And if you find yourself stagnating, pause for a bit.

What you are saying is very interesting to me because I can tolerate very high amounts of Lugols, but I cannot handle very much SSKI at all. So, applying your insight, it would seem that apparently my body cannot produce the enzymes needed to turn the iodide into iodine.

Breast pain is often from raised levels of estrogen and this is often linked to stress. Estrogen dominance is a problem for the average gal and worsened with stress. Look into taking DIM for elevated estrogen. It helps to reduce bad estrogen which causes breast pain. Ashwaganda is also a good way to balance hormones and aleviate stress but in my experience takes a lot longer to work than DIM which in my experience works fast. I hope your mother is ok. I’ve been taking iodine for about 5 months as well. I used to have SEVERE breast pain and PMS before but I don’t anymore! I didn’t notice improvement in that area until I upped my dose to 100mg. I’m now taking 200mg daily which I’ve noticed even MORE improvements since then. Maybe try upping it? This month when I got my cycle I had no mood swings, no cramps, no breast pain-NOTHING!! Give it some more time, but maybe try increasing your dose a bit.
Also, Taking zinc has really helped me with the breakouts from detox.

Take vitamins. Some women have found that taking Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), Vitamin B1 (thiamine), and Vitamin E relieves breast pain.
Try evening primrose oil. Some women have found that regular consumption of the herb, evening primrose oil, in liquid or tablet form reduces breast pain.
Turmeric and Ginger is good for inflammatory conditions. Also helps with digestive problems and nausea.
Just using Ginger works well for many, But I would use caution on the blood thinning properties of too much Turmeric.

Yet Jonathan Wright has used Potassium Iodide alone for the breasts.
Some people seem to require huge amounts of Iodoral for fibrocystic breasts. Others can paint their breasts with a little tincture of iodine from the medicine cabinet and get relief. This is really a Your Mileage May Vary ...

hi, yes the chemical in mirena passes into your bloodstream and therefore goes everywhere. It is known to go to the breasts and into breast milk too. People get all sorts of different side effects on mirena, depending on what they are most susceptable to, i guess. Breast pain is a symptoms of many women as in the abdomen pain you get after sexual intercourse. The breast pain will be caused by the hormonal effects of mirena, but the pain in your abdomen will possibly be caused by the physical side of mirena - the plastic T shape can literally ”dig in” to your uterus, making it painful, caus ...
