Hi scorpie, Woody’s right on the Aloe Vera. Regular DMSO can dehydrate the skin and the rash can drive you nuts unless you keep adding water and more water on your skin right after the DMSO. By using DMSO with Aloe Vera, the Aloe Vera hydrates the skin so less water is used but you can always spray some right after just in case. I am afraid that to purchase a commercial Aloe Vera product that works is probably impossible. Aloe Vera needs to be treated to prevent it going off after a few days in a bottle or refrigerated. The product to hit the shelves has been treated in such a way that it has no medicinal value left. Aloe Vera has to be taken fresh off the plant to have its original medicinal value still intact which is considerable. Oh good thing you asked. :) Some people say it’s okay to take aloe vera gel internally, but I have my doubts, as gels are made from raw aloe vera and natural herbalists usually don’t drink the raw aloe. For it to be taken internally it needs to be treated a bit so that it’s digestible, and once that happens it’s usually a liquid. At least you could start growing some plants for later use if you don’t have the money for the gel. I purchased a gallon of Aloe Gel for $20 U.S. from my health food store. I was taking garlic, and black walnut powder, and couldn’t get much to happen until I added aloe vera juice for alkinilization of the human body. Within two days of aloe vera juice I was expelling heavily, later I changed to Olive leaf instead of aloe vera juice. Olive leaf and parsely are also alkiline.
