MoreI have been oil pulling for 7 months and have been cured of all manner of things. I stopped a couple of months ago and am going to resume this week for overall maintenance!!! I found a beautiful website on it if you desire to be in possession of more information other than what is currently available. I have tried to locate books on OP and this site is selling them too, in English if you want more information about this wonderful practice.

I would be interesting because I think we are the largest active internet forum in the world discussing Oil Pulling. In fact, I'm sure of that. We are a brain trust for everything oily. Cool.

This is a reply to # 960,639Thanks for the research. I thought it was interesting that we need to brush teeth before and scrape tongue. Also it says you can do oilpulling 2 or 3 times in the morning on an empty stomach. I think I'll try that for a while to see if there's much difference. Thanks again.

This is a reply to # 961,028You know, I wouldn't brush my teeth. I'd wait until after I OP. Brushing will allow all the built up bacteria to be spread around your mouth...and that's what we are trying to get rid of.

This is a reply to # 961,126One could argue that brushing before OP'g would remove much of the topical bacteria thus allowing concentration on the deeper issues. I shall experiment with both. Also, I have never used the "chewing method" while sipping/swishing.
I am in the habit of drinking a liter of water with a teaspoon of hunza salt sole before brushing or anything. It's an Asian way of preparing the body for the day. I am experimenting with the Op'g and my water therapy. The two therapies do clash. I really prefer to OP before bedtime.
Now I am hoping to incorporate a titanic toothbrush which uses no paste. Has anyone tried the Soladey toothbrush?

This is a reply to # 961,174I just use a regular brush, but no toothpaste, haven't for a long time now. Occasionally I do miss the 'minty freshness' but the not the pappy dry feeling my mouth gets after using toothpaste. I use baking soda and water, or just water. Occasionally a drop of oregano oil, although the boyf. complains i smell of pizza. No different than mint... just that we're used to mint. Parsley would be better, as it freshens breath.
I oil pull before brushing, i feel it helps get the gunk out.
