Hi Ladies,
Was just wondering if anyone out there could help me. For about 5 months now, I have been dealing with some kind of annoying infection. Took me a while to rule out yeast (pro-biotics didnt work. they always do.) A doctor then said it was BV, gave me some gel suppository. Didn't work. Gave me Flagyll. Didn't work.
Now a new doc says it's (I don't remember which! :-( ) Staph or Strep and she wants to call in (another!) antibiotic.
What is really going on here? I have read these are bacteria naturally found in the vaginas of about 30% of women, but most are asymptomatic. Now that I am symptomatic (greenish/grayish discharge ALL THE DAMN TIME and itchiness from the discharge on the labia) what can I do to get things back in check? Shouldn't the probiotics work on this too? Or are
Antibiotics my only hope? From what I've read online, some women have had this for YEARS with not
Antibiotics working!
I know this is Malarky - mother nature doesn't put anything out there that doesnt have a counterbalance.
Any ideas ladies?
I thank anyone and everyone for your input in advance!
