I just checked GEICO on line and compared their rates with my local insurance agent and the GEICO ran less than half of what I currently pay. That much of a difference makes me suspicious. Anyone out there have GEICO and, if so, have you ever filed a claim and how was their service?
I would appreciate any answers.

I have had GEICO for thirty years. I don't plan to ever change. I'm happy with the service I've gotten with them. I've probably put in 3-4 claims over the years. They are very good at following up, and I have been real happy with how they deal with the other driver's insurance company. They are a little 'departmentalized,' meaning you can't get everything done through one person, but all-in-all it works out pretty well.- Thanks for your response, Mistral Corey

Thank you, Mistral. I was billed by GMAC (my current insurance co) for $829--. GEICO asked $392 for slightly better coverage. That is on 3 vehicles. I will sign up with them.
