Usually I check any links I give. Didn't. This is a registered distributors' pathway, I guess.
Anyway, I was trying to show a superior wild-grown freshwater algae that, in the right conditions, reproduces itself in twenty minutes...and hibernates in winter.
Found in Upper Klamath Lake, in Oregon, it is nourished by a very deep bed of volcanic ash.
At one time there was a hope that people could have backyard ponds of the algae, as it was believed that ponds to equal the square miles of the state of Colorado could replenish the whole world's oxygen.
The algae itself would make a fine fertilizer.
However, researching, I don't see anything being done about the ponds, or even as garden fertilizer, except for indoor plants, and as a pet food additive.
I do remember it doing us much good when we had it a few years ago.
