if you had a greenhouse and you flooded the greenhouse with ozone gas (during hours when no one was in the greenhouse obviously) do you think the plants would thrive or be damaged by this? most likely you would have to experiement with different levels to find the optimum ozone saturation level that is good for hte plants, ie not too much, not too little. but since plants need oxygen, wouldn't flooding the atmosphere like this be good for the plants?
also what about this. attaching a hard tube or pipe to your ozonator, then sticking that tube or pipe directly into the ground, at least a foot or two, near the roots of the plants in your garden, then turning on the machine and directly ozonating the soil. do you think that would be beneficial for the plants? or perhaps that would be too much? my concnern in this scenario would be that some soil bacteria are anaerobic and would possibl die off during the ozonating process.
anyway, i don't have a garden (live in an apt) or a greenhouse to test these things, but i have been thinkiing about it since i read "paramagnetism, rediscovering nature's secret force" by philip calahan. in the book he described how adding volcanic rock to soil can be beneficial because the volcanic rock is high in paramagntic force. he also says that oxygen is highly paramagnetic, and plants needs the paramagnetic force to grow.

You're logic is real good about using active oxygen for plants. Ozone has been used in indoor gardening for at least 10 years to control mildews, spider mites, mold and fungal growth. My experience with ozone in the air in greenhouse situations is that just like humans, plants need limited exposure to ozonated air. Too much ozone directly applied to plants can literally 'burn'them. It's a question of finding the balance that controls the anaerobic organisms without harming what you're producing. Also, plants use and produce oxygen during photosynthesis (Daylight), but use Co2 at night when no light is present.
I think you're on to something large with the glacial rock dust idea. I've been a fan of this for many years and have added rock dust to my gardens since the mid 90's. It all makes sense that if plants, humans, animals are deprived of the essential minerals they need to produce healthy cells, that disease and toxicity will ensue, resulting in proliferation of larger organisms like worms moving into living bodies to clean out the toxins . Hydrogen peroxide has also been used in agriculture for a long time.Dilute amounts of H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) are added to the water to provide essential oxygen to the soil and control anaerobic organisms like fungus.here's an article on household uses of H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) including it for the use of plants. I use it all the time in winter.I just take the H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) from soaking my veggies in the sink after buying them at the store and use it for the plant's water.
I don't know about directly ozonating the soil, but I do know that many reputable suppliers of compost use ozone to sterilize the compost before it is being packaged for sale.

MoreThis is a reply to # 779,127calahan measured the level of paramagnetic force in various soils using a CGS meter. most cost several thousand dollars. so he pateneted a simplified version of the CGS called the PCSM (paramagnetic count soil meter) that costs a few hundred dollars. you can use it to measure the paramegnetic force of your soil and learn what does, and does not, positively and negatively affect your soil health.

you can see why magnetite, when added in very small amounts to your soil can dramatically boost its paramagnetic count.

This is a reply to # 779,137Although I'm not familiar with Calahan and his work, or for that matter the CGS meter, I do know that magnets can have a profound effect on the germination of seeds, growth of plants etc. It all makes sense, doesn't it?

Please study Better about the photosynthesis process in plants and what may take place !
You may be surprised that the plants use the Carbon Dioxide in the day time as well as at nite, not the Oxygen by it's self as such, and it is the "Oxygen which the Plants give back in return for the Carbon Dioxide they use in the process to build their Carbohydrates !
For a carbohydrate is a 1-2-1 ratio and Carbon Dioxide is a 1-2 ratio which you combine with water of a H2-O ratio, which gives you 2 Oxygen released for one C-H2-O
Or a C6 H12 O6 for a complete Carbohydrate !
You are correct that "Oxygen" is needed , but it may be needed to make the Carbon Dioxide which in turn forms Carbonic Acids which in turn Reacts with the Other Alkaline Minerals and so forth down the Line to provide the release of Electro-magnetic Energy which the Plants may use to grow from !

It is "ALL" about the Acid Alkaline pH Balancing principles !

Thank you for the clarification. I never professed to be a chemist. I think I nearly flunked it in high school but have learned a lot about basic chemistry since. I think I have a better understanding about the use of Co2 in plants now.

This is a reply to # 779,589Free ozone blown though the greenhouse at high concentration will burn the plants.
Almost instantly - I've done this before, came back into the greenhouse and all the plants were literally brown and shrivelled after just 15 minutes.
Generally what is done is that the ozonator is used on the inlet of the air circulation/filtration system and/or on the inlet to the exhaust fan {this also kills the moss and alga on the outside of the building}.
When ozonating the the water to the plants this increases the fertilizer utilization and kills the scum and 'pests' that may develop. Also, makes it a little easier to use organic fertilizer in an indoor situation. The other benefit of this is that it can also increase the germination succes and seedling growth - particularly of obstinate tree varieties...
