Wolcott's book warns that metabolic typing questionaries only tell you what your type is "today". For example, I'm an extreme fast oxidative dominate. But if I eat the correct diet, many of the "symptoms" that lead to that classification will shift towards a more mixed classification. For example, I will not have strong food cravings, I'll have more energy, I'll have less desire for salty foods and so on all of which will reduce the scoring that lead to the original metabolic type classification.

If I've been eating a diet for a extreme fast oxidiser dominate and I score a more mixed classification after retaking the test, I would not change my diet unless I started feeling less than optimal. If I start feeling less than optimal, I would start slanting my diet more towards the new classification taking careful note of how I felt with each change.

I'm a believer. Before I changed my diet to favor protein and saturated fats while eliminating grains and sugar, my weight was 285, my blood pressure was 185/119, resting pulse rate 109, fasting blood glucose 162, Arthritis so bad I could not make a fist or walk up stairs. Now my weight is 208, my blood pressure is 124/74, resting heart rate 67, blood glucose 86, I can make a fist and quickly flex my hands, and I can run up stairs two at a time. I look 10 years younger and feel 30 years younger; I'm a believer. I should also mention this took almost four years to accomplish. People shouldn't expect overnight miricles if they have serious degenerative health problems; healing takes time, especially as you approach 60 :/

Now, you can start with the book, it will work fine for most people. You just have be sure to fine tune your diet and be willing to continue fine tuning it as you improve. The website is useful if you aren't getting the results you expected and you need more help.
