I suppose you could say such a thing, but I never looked at it that way. I took The School of Natural Healing Master Herbalist Course from the Dr. John R. Christopher School. I NEVER thought I learned that much from this schooling, but it help round out my education on the herbs they like to use.
I have a black fancy thing your suppose to hang on the wall for nutrition, one for herbs and one saying I passed the Master Herbalist test. I put these in the pile of other worthless books/papers that I collect or just don't want to throw away. In the USA it is 100% worthless to study for such things, this type of education is not recognised now or ever in the medical controlled world.
I think David Christopher stated there were less than 8,000 MHs in the world, or maybe the number was less, I don't remember for sure, but he said there were very few left because there is little interest in it.
I do know this:
I communicated with several Master Herbalist while doing the schooling and none of them had a clue how to cure diseases, they did know how to sale herbs and today, my guess is the Master Herbalist is a joke and like all herbalist of the past, will die as soon, if not sooner than the average person.
I prefer to call my self a student of Longevity. "IF" a author has a promise of longevity, rathur it be fake or true, I will read the book. I believe we have always been, always will be and we can choose to live on this earth a long time "IF" we decide we want to.
Problem is, most, if not all people want to die and seek things out to socially be accepted as an excuse for their death. LIFE ON EARTH is a complicated process that we are graded on and those commiting daily suicide are not exactly getting a passing grade, etc.
To answer your question, I think nothing of having papers stating I am a master herbalist, just like my grade school education, I have never seen my deploma more than once. The idea of placing your educational papers on a wall to impress people such as the MD does or maybe is forced to do, never impressed me much.
A person that can live with no shelter, no cloths, no electricity, etc. in the open woods has a far advanced education over any graduate in this world of higher education.
The reason I used the intitials MH was because the curezone method was to pick a name or initials and not your real name, so I picked MH which at the time stood for Master Herbalist because I had just finished the schooling about the time this forum was started.
I will say that my teachers all had health problems, most authors have health problems, etc. and I have not ever been received well when I try to educate them on their health problems. I was quite shocked with learning of some of the health issues, but it follows with the history that herbalist and most authors in health die prematurely.
Herbs, etc. are only about 1/4 of the total program. BOOK I explains the basics, BOOK II and BOOK III explains the dangers and BOOK IV up to BOOK XXXX will explain the most important methods to keep the body young always. The master herbalist is suppose to be a teacher, but they seldom find a student. I do it as a hobby, so if no one has the interest, it does not stop me, I read once every day of my life.
Up to age 35,I hated school, never took books home, etc. Not until my own healthj was shot, did I find interest in learning what I could do. It is common to read in books where the author nearly died and learning the cure starte a new career in teaching others.
