Your liver and gallbladder are on your right side. Although there is occasional radiation of pain, its probably not your liver causing the pain.
How many P&B shakes are you doing a day? My guess, based on the information you have given is that you have some P&B blocking the colon and the pressure is causing the pain. Perhaps you have a narrowing of the colon and the psyllium is creating a bottleneck at that opening causing pain and even some inflammation. Try doing a flush with one cup of apple juice and one tablespoon of Epsom salt. That should clear out the blockage. If it is your liver causing the pain, the
Epsom Salt will relax and dilate the biliary ducts, while the apple juice will help soften any manner. Repeat this 2-6 hours later. Meanwhile, do not use any more P&B shakes for at least three days. If the pain disappears, then there is a good chance that was the problem. You might want to try the psyllium without the bentonite, the clay can be very constipating in some people. Just try using the
Bentonite once a day or even every other day to help trap and hold toxins. If you feel quite sure the pain is from your liver, then you can flush, but never do a flush while you have psyllium in your system. The psyllium can trap and hold toxins and slow down excretion times if you colon is still not cleaned out sufficiently.
Remember that pain on the left side near the waist is usually related to bowel issues. Always address this first, then move on to other things. I hope you feel better soon.
