Thank you ptootsie,
This is something I always wanted to do, ever since I learned about fasting. My fast included a modified master cleanser(due to a pre-existing candida condition)with a little maple syrup, fresh vegetable(and sometimes green apple)juices, water, organic vegetable broth, potassium supplement, liquid calcium-magnesium-vitamin D supplement, herbal teas, and liquid muti-vitamin minerals, I also used pascalite
Bentonite clay to assist with cleansing (also see previous posts). My energy level has been good, steady-but not out of this world. I think that with continued focus on liver/candida cleansing, my energy will rise significantly. In 91 days, there were only two days (one in July and one in September) where I had challenges. The first day was because I had stopped my vitamins and potassium for a few days to do a liver flush, and suffered an electrolyte imbalance; scary, but easily fixed by resuming the supplements. The second day, I suffered from painful constipation which was remedied by purchasing a good liquid calcium-magnesium (+ vitamin D) supplement. Those were my two worst days. Even though the majority of people fast for shorter periods, longer fasts can be undertaken, if time is given to proper preparation and research, and also if there is a need for it. When I am asked what I think someone should do to achieve similar results, I always first suggest that it would be wise to get a checkup before starting a fast, switch to a raw diet, and if you can afford it, medical supervision and/or a fasting coach. I did not have medical supervision; In fact, I did not have medical benefits at all, and no money for a coach either, but I did have Dr. Jesus, and was able (through faith, preparation, focus, this forum and others, prayer, desire, study, trial & error, patience and many "nonsuccesful" attempts) to accomplish this with God's grace; and I went to work every day. Now, after what I have called this "Summer Of No Food" I'm still at a beginning of sorts, on a path toward better health and a higher quality of life that I desire to have as part of my legacy. One reason I wanted to have this experience was to benefit others in some way. I will post periodically with updates of my post-fast routine and progress. Best wishes everyone.
Peace.
