I have done 3-4 days fasting in the past and have never been able to do more even though I always seem to start out with the intention of doing some really long fast. I decided to stay within what my limits are and work with that. Not only do I want to lose weight, but I need to for a number of health problems I have that would be alleviated if I was a little lighter and getting rid of toxins would also be a great benefit. I am deciding to stick with vegetable juice for two days afterward since it will provide nutriets without a lot of
Sugar since I would like to remain in ketosis if I can without letting my metabolism slow down too much. This is also why I'm going to try 4 days water and 2 days vegetable juice since I know the metabolism has a much harder time recovering after a super long fast. I also think that I can stay true to the fast better if I go four days as opposed to 10 or 14 days where it would be easier to cheat. I know 4 days is doable.
