It seems that Israel showed on their TV a report on a man who lived in our country(USA) and was, as Israel sees it, a modern day prophet. The program stated " why has the gentiles produced a prophet? This is a reply to # 643,104No Sir, Jesus was neither. Please look up in the scripture and see that Mary was already pregnant. So JESUS was a pure son of God neither a jew or a gentile. Her seed came from God. A seed is a egg and sperm that has been germizized. Mary did not supply the egg. Remember Jesus said that HE came from God and will go back to Him.

This is a reply to # 643,102that is pretty weird given that branham was a pentacostal faith healer along the lines of oral roberts or kathryn kuhlman. i wonder what guidelines they used to determine his prophet status? and why would israelis deem a midwestern faith healer a prophet? of course branham had all sorts of strange beliefs that went counter to traditional christianity, like the notion that eve had sex with the serpent and that union produced cain, he apparently believed in the egyptian pyramids as power objects, and he studied astrology. he was an odd duck. i find it to be an odd story. you said "is" i hope you are aware that he died in 1965.

This is a reply to # 643,106Traditional Christ; sort of like Jesus vs.'the bad guys'. Remember the Jewish race is God's chosen race by His own words, yet they really had fouled things up by not applying the correct instruction. That is why He sent them prophets to try and keep them in line. Israel was intrusted with God's law.
Why did Israel say he was a prophet? Because he had two gifts which it appears never failed. When he spoke Brother Branham asked the people to write what he said to make sure it came true, 100% of the time. That is when he spoke and said 'Thus Saith the Lord' It was not him then but the Good Lord using him to help mankind.
It's funny but mention a prophet to a American and the first it seems he thinks is 'a false prophet' but say that to a Israel and there face lights up. Remember if this the 'last times' then the Jewish state will have Moses & Elijah show up soon.
When you say that Eve had sex with the serpent use should remember that serpent was a man looking creature and he beguiled Eve. That means he both physical and mentally suduced Eve. That is what Jesus was talking about with the Jewish priests by saying he was not born of the(Greek EK) fornication.
Several religions, both pagan and Christain believe that doctrine.
The saints of God are not dead but waiting on the other side as is he. Yes a drunk driver in Arizona ran head-on into his car in 1965.

doc - you are right when i hear "prophet" i usually think either huckster or half enlightened half decieved sort of person spreading truth and lies at the same time. this is true whether the person is a christian, new ager, hindu, withc doctor, etc etc. this is due to me seeing up close and in person so much deception and corruption in various spirtitual traditons. so yes you are correct i am very very skeptical, comes with the territory. i am sure branham did a lot of good things, i am also sure that he made some pretty out there predictions that decidedly did not happen. if you find value in what he taught, good. me, i am skeptical as usual.

This is a reply to # 643,102Christians need to quit looking for and at "prophets", save the 144,000 to stand, and the 2 returning witnesses/prophets spoken of in Revelations. They need instead, look to the word of God itself, study, pray, and contemplate it.

Israel (Zion), eventually DEEP CAVES (Dens), are two ANSWERS that the Bible, and the latter CHRIST gives us for SALVATION in the times to come, outside trust, faith, and a willingness to die in refusal of the mark in witness to him, in the times coming upon us (months to years ahead). There are 42 months of SEVERE persecution coming of ALL Christians... why is NO PREACHER teaching how to SURVIVE all this, and SEE the coming of the Lord? (and live beyond the antichrist) ? ? ?

This is a reply to # 643,108vtool you read what you want to read into posts and not what is there. i didn't say that i only trust mid west types or anything of the kind. in fact every supposed prophet that ever lived can all take a flying leap for all i care. my point was that i found it odd that folks in israel would choose this guy as some kind of prophet. see? it is strange that they would consider this guy, and not all the others like him, a prophet. can you undeerstand that???? its odd, that is what i am saying and i am wondering why that would be and if anyone knows. see? geez. try responding to what is actually said and not just to what is going on in your head.

This is a reply to # 643,107Interesting about China's horses. At the Paris air show Russia showed up with a Mig that was operated by hydralics, not fly by wire. The reason, Israel has a weapon that stops everthing electronic, watches to airplanes and has been converting their military. Since the weapon was developed here in the USA I have been told that we built our weapons to resist that weapon. Russia and Israel went a different route. I think the Bible says that in the last days it will be fought with primitive weapons. I think the word for horses and helcopter is the same word in Russian.
