The real question is where should we draw the line?
There is a huge difference between blogs and forums.
Forums are dedicated to discussion, and strict rules are important to keep the discussion on the right track.
On the other side, blogs are more personal. If you create a blog, you are the blog owner, and you decide what you put into your blog, as long as it is not in breach of CureZone TOS, and Blog Guidelines .
You also have the privilege to delete any comment that you dislike.
You are the king of your castle.
The question here is: where would you draw the line?
Should blog owners be allowed to attack other members of curezone?
Should blog owners be allowed to attack people who are not members of curezone, but are respected by other members of CureZone?
Should blog owners be allowed to attack public people, like politicians, or other people in public light, if those people are respected by other curezone members?
Where would you draw the line of what is allowed, and what is not?
Should blog owners be allowed to attack George Bush, if there are other members of curezone who disagree with such messages? If blog owners are allowed to attack George Bush, should other members of curezone who disagree with such messages be allowed to attack the blog owners?
Or, should we create a rule that nobody is allowed to talk negative about anyone, and choose to delete any and every message where someone is attacking someone?
Where would you draw the line of what is allowed, and what is not?
Why am I asking you those questions? Cause I don't know the answer. I want to hear your opinion. I need good brain storming on those questions.
Where to draw the line on what is allowed on CureZone, and what is not.
How much freedom should blog owners have?
Should curezone moderators be allowed to hide and delete messages of blog owners?
Should curezone moderators be allowed to block blog owner, if they already have a history of conflict with that blog owner?

the forums have a focus and rules that can be argued if moderation is abused. in blogs, the owner is the focus - good, bad, or indifferent. if a person piles up enough crap around themselves, no one will dare to come near. - I agree with Quinthius Ev

But, here, you agree with Quinthius, who, if I got it right, does not say that "If you hide one, hide them both."
Which one is it?
Do you agree with Quinthius, or do you think that "If you hide one, hide them both."

If one poster is allowed to post their "informative/controversial findings" then all posters should be allowed to post the same type of post. For example if Lapis can post his information and not be hidden then 9thbody should be afforded the same right.
When it comes to personal attacking, in my humble opinion it is a great difference. A post stating that "Bob Jones is a crazy S.O.B." or "All Buddhists are grumpy people" etc. etc. etc. should not be allowed.
Who benefits from that? No one.
I believe that Quinthius was differentiating between the two types.
I'm so tired of wading through this junk to get to the good stuff. And in essence a lot of the good stuff gets missed by me, because I try to stay away from the negativity. The negativity seems to be affecting all of the 'Zone like a parasite affects the whole body.

On the other hand, if a big flame war is incited than either the flaming posts or the whole thing should be hidden.
People have a right to information without being exposed to childish flame wars.

This is a reply to # 610,581If I were not so firmly against the entire detrimental voting procedure I would certainly vote a "yes" on your previous post.
Another depressing symptom of CureZone is the compulsion to form alliances with some whilst waging wars against others. It is expected that discussion may arise which might very well involve dispute or difference of opinion, but we all should be mature and responsible enough to realise that the dispute is not with the person in his or her entirety but with one or two of their views (which are not "right" or "wrong", simply different from our own perceptions). It appears that some CureZone members hold grudges and consistently make it their business to argue with, mock and harrass those on their "sh*t-list" whilst maintaining their internet-war relationship with their allies. I freely admit that I have had discussions with others that could be construed as being "negative", but this does not mean that one must seek to undermine the other at every given opportunity. It is discussion and dispute (and more importantly, alternate viewpoints) that helps us grow as individuals and become sympathetic, empathetic and understanding towards others and their beliefs. Were these anomalies not to exist we would be nothing more than government-controlled, emotionless clones...is this not what we are all fighting against, together, as one?

Support and info forums are not the place for war, knife (or nail, scratch, meow)sharpening.
Iron sharpening suggests an ADVERSARIAL contest or situation. I think everyone is fed up with adversary games. That old adversary was called adversary for a reason.
People who like to watch adversarial relationships, ie., mud wrestling, can see it on WWWF, world wide wrestling federation, not on curezone, a place for health and information.

This is a reply to # 610,591But as Continum Force suggests the secret war begins and you see totally harmless stuff manipulated to anger you or to make you look the the provacetuer while the games go on behind the scene.
Really I just "know" in the gut it is about having mature moderators that are not grinding out grudges because of their own agenda or pride or embarrassment...nothing wrong with making mistakes but an apology is usually how most who make mistakes stand up and responsibility.
when it became clear their own stuff was regulating the moderating-things got mean
This< I think, is not the spirit of Curezone

So hide them both-

As for Thorn, if this is his main identity- I have never tsiad anything to him on any subject- then he flames yogaPath with absolute nonsense- as far as I know (given another identity) I have no idea what his beef is but here's what my blog looked like

This is a reply to # 610,587i agree in that i didnt see any big deal with those posts. i say slap a disclaimer on the blogs saying they represent the owners only and be done with it.
the most effective way to extinguish unwanted behavior is to ignore it. that removes all feedback, removing any reinforcing effect thereof. i am certainly not interested in any of the things you have pointed out and am not bothered by those that are interested having whatever say they want. - Expand 20 messages, 21 to 40 of 63 Webmaster
