Hi Deb. I am glad you asked me, as this is my area of interest. I have heard of this drug for cancer, and this will probably be the begining of effective treatments for many diseases in the future. They use nano technology to custom-build peptides {these are amino acid sequences that tell your cells what to do} that will send specific commands to glandular tissue, organs, or anyplace in the body to perform a function. Our little beasties have some ability to do this as well, albiet on a very limited scale. The technology is growing rapidly, but most medications need to go through the rigors of drug testing which takes close to a decade. As for yeast problems, the only company that I know working on it is Zengen Inc. located in California, and they are working with the Italians. It will be another 6 years before this hits the market. As for the medication you are talking about, I don't think it will have an impact, unless it boosts the immune-response to the specific yeast cells in your body. Even this may only lead to temporary results. The cure for AIDS will be our cure as well, because this is an immune issue, tied in with neuro-empediments. The thing to remember is mutated C. albicans has become "friendly" cells to your immune-system. This needs to change in order to cure the disease.----------------------Shroom
