I broke my cleanse one day early (went 9 instead of 10 days) on 2/13.
Did the OJ for a full day and made veg soup for the next day (snuck a few sips of broth, was too tempting)
Day 2, I know i was supposed to wait till evening to have the veg broth, but i didn't. I had OJ again in the AM ten couldn't help myself for the first time in 10 days my will to do things by the book and as planned failed, I had not only the broth, but the veg and BARLEY i put in the soup!
It was soo F-in good, but i got an immediate headach. (why did that happen?)
It was kinda worth it though.
The next day (day 3) I had more soup (like almost a quart including veg and barley, kale , mmmmm) and more OJ.
I felt fine. Did a HUGE #2 which i was so proud of (like a little boy)
Got some probiotics (suprema dophilus) and a Colon Cleanse (mainly made up of senna and psyllium husk powder) {that is working great!)
I lost 12 #'s in 9 days and gained back 4 in the last 3.
I am planning on eating much healthier, excercising alot more and need to lose another 30#'s to get down to my 185# goal.
Green Juice, Organic vegies and salads, dressings made with Braggs AC vin, Good fishes, Free range chicken, dd i say green juice!!! Nothing better for Alkalizing your body...
I know i will be back here many times over the year, but I want to thank EVERYONE who was here to support me and all the other newbies through..
You are all magical people and I appreciate you sharing your wisdom.

This is a reply to # 250,884Hey...congratulations! Good luck with your post-cleanse. I've been doing great. Wheatgrass every morning, fresh fruits, vegies, fish, and still making soup every week.

So i ate it and had no problems with it.

MoreThis is a reply to # 250,902I usually wind up eating a little soup (with some veg and all) the evening of day 1 off the MC. Then do the same thing the next day...OJ all morning and afternoon, then soup at night. That is the only way I deviate from the book. What a rebel. I only do 10 day-ers though, plus I have this rockin' digestive system, so maybe my stomach can handle it better than some.

This is a reply to # 250,898I go to Robeks or Jamba Juice every morning (or at the very least, 4 days each week) and shell out the $2. It's worth it to me. Since I started on it, I haven't even had a cold in a year. Good stuff.

I had a turkey burger and fries yesterday :(
Oh well, I'm not dead.. just eating ALOT better.
Here's a great easy fish dish i made today:
lightly coat a glass pyrex or baking pan with Olive oil
Layer your favorite fish on the bottom (i used a yellow tail flounder). season lightly with Bragg Liquid amino, black or cayenne pepper, top with sliced tomatoes, more pepper and maybe some herbs (cilantro, basil, parsley, or whatever you like). Sprinkle all with feshly squeezed organic lemon juice (what else?), white wine and sprinkle on some bread crumbs ( i used a persillade mix i keep on hand in the freezer which has lemon zest, garlic and a touch of parm mixed into the whole wheat crumbs)
Dot with butter (very little) + (optional)
Bake high heat or broil low flame,,
Friggin yummy!
side of wheat berry salad... mmmmm
Sorry to those eating lemon juice :), but now you know what us chefs have to go through !!!!!
One thing that i kept telling myself when i MC'd was, "this food will be here in week or two, just remember that.. You will eat again.
Strangly enough, i only had to bring on the real will power when preparing the really healthy and good/natural foods..
When making a cream sauce or heavy meat item, i wasn't effected. It hurt not to eat the vegies, soups and fruits the most.

Congrats on a great accomplishment. Being in the biz ,it takes even more
will power to do what you set out to do. Cooking is a labor of love, and eating healthy and serving healthy is all part of the magic! It's opened up a whole new
refridgerator door for you.

This is a reply to # 250,944I did a 12 day cleanse in December and have decided to do it again this month. I would love someone to go through this with. Last time I started quite easily but this time I am not so sure. Any help would be great. Thanks
