Hi,
Ever since my major crash, hypoglycemia and excessive hunger has been one of my worst symptoms.
I switched to a ketogenic diet which helped the hypoglycemic symptoms, but I still struggle with hunger and never feeling full.
I'm not sure what I have -- either a chronic viral or bacterial infection.
Anyway, to try and help my immune system, I started drinking chopped up garlic cloves in water 2-3x per day, with chillis and lemon juice.
I noticed some benefits: my neurological symptoms aren't as bad, I feel calmer, and I sleep better; my libido is also up. However, I also feel a bit sick and depressed, which I assumed was a herx.
It's really hard to feel in touch with my body and know what's going on. With the garlic etc. in water, I feel a genuine appetite .. i.e. I become actually hungry, rather than just feeling sick and nauseous but needing to eat all day. However, I've also read garlic is bad if you're hypoglycemic .. I know a lot of herbs etc. lower blood
Sugar if it's high, but wasn't sure if that necessarily meant they further lowered it if it's normal/low.
Was anyone with hypoglycemia able to tolerate Garlic? Really hard to tell what's normal in terms of eating, appetite etc. at this point.
