Interesting. Are any of these studies done on people consuming a low fat diet? What exactly is "processed" fructose? Certainly that would exclude fruit, correct?

Processed would be anything you consume out of a package, jar, can, or fast food.

This is a reply to # 2,237,578I've noticed that HFCS = High Fructose Corn? Syrup is cropping up in A LOT of what used to be considered "healthy" food. For instance was visiting Germany and they were selling Mate Tea in the same "format" / bottle like they would coca cola etc - this in a cantine that students frequent. Checked out the ingredients after being "pleasantly surprised" that one could buy Mate Tea - fantastic alternative for pop, is what I thought. Unfortunately it was sweetened with HFCS (under another name - cannot remember which).
Almost all the cookies are sweetened with this poison. And the worst : Turron - (a traditional Christmas dessert in Spain as well as countries formerly under the Spanish empire, that "floods"the market a few months before Christmas) now has it. Put me totally off Turron!
No wonder obesity and diabetes is on the rise. PIty the folk who have'nt a clue and / or don't bother reading the labels.

I called the company of what was labled "Organic" juice blend. Cranberry/ blueberry. Reading the label it also said and natural flavors.
I called and was told it was propietary to the blend so they couldn't tell me what the natural flavors were..
Organic doesn't organic any more
