One of my buddies at work looks to have some form of cheilitis. I can clearly see inflammation in all the classic ec spots, in his case the top 1/3rd of his lower lip, and a definate area in the triangular upper lip area.
There's no buildup, but he may be peeling. It dosent seem to phase him, he's still extremely outgoing and is dating a total babe. I also remember suspecting he had ec in the winter but wrote it off as badly chapped lips.

This is a reply to # 2,085,513I dont know man thats a tough call. Its up to you and how comfortable you would be with having that conversation with him. If your comfortable enough to bring it up with him then yeah you should definitely do it.
But I would be sure if I were you, because it would be pretty awkward to bring it up and he ends up not having anything wrong. But by now it should be pretty clear to you if he has cheilitis or not. MoreThis is a reply to # 2,085,513I think you should indeed discuss the issue with him. Because if he is continuously peeling his lips in ignorance, it needs to be corrected. You can begin by sharing your case with him & casually ask about his apparent problem of lips as perceived by you.

This is a reply to # 2,085,542I'm 100% comfortable having that conversation with him, we have a good friendship. Our entire friendship for a couple years has basically consisted of chirping and breaking balls though (all in fun).
My concern is that if its a none issue to him, maybe I shouldn't put it in his head that people notice it. If I didn't have ec I wouldn't have noticed...
Anyways, I'll probly bring up mine and see if he says anything.
