Hi, I made a post before about starting a Water Fast but having a bowel movement the day before and worried about electrolyte loss.
I decided to eat today instead of start the fast, but have had two watery stools and stil feel more coming.
I have been having lots of electrolyte supplements, drinks, foods, etc today- does that mean I'd be ok to start a 2 week fast tomorrow?
Or should I wait until I don't have watery stools the day before?- Re: diahrrea day before water fast? hopinso

This is a reply to # 2,033,688How different people are. On Dec. 31 I did a 24 hour dry fast-mostly because I was courious-followed by 20 days of regular water fasting. I never had a bowel movement and was miserable. I would have paid money to have had been "empty" before starting to fast. Unless you are loosing huge amounts of fluid with your BMs you should be alright. Keep the electrolytes handy just in case you show symptoms of low potassium.

This is a reply to # 2,037,717I use a product called EmergenC. Its easy to find and easy to use. When I was in the hospital with potassium depletion a doctor told me to always take electrolytes with a little Sugar to help absorption.

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,037,739Thank you. So are you also suppose to take a little Sugar with this? Wouldn't a little honey or fruit juice be better? What are the symptoms of low potassium that we should watch out for?
