This is a reply to # 1,933,339They sell it in 60ml bottles. So in other words you would need a few cases to help and it has additives, not pure distilled water. Humidifiers in Jordan? daaaa no. People don't have food and maybe in Amman palaces. I may go to the local pharmacy tomorrow and check to see if they have distilled water and if it can be purchased. Could be supplies are nil. Right now can't think.
I use to buy it a few years ago for car batteries, but Jordan changed and now they are adding additives to the car battery water and not fit to drink. I have tried in the past to buy it and maybe in Amman? Not for sure, but in my town no.

Ok, here is my article:
I wanted to write on this yesterday, but had no confirmation of this earth shattering story. I live in a town called Zarga. A medium size town about 30 minutes away from Amman. We are a friendly town with country style homes. I live in the best area of town, but needless to say there are thousands of people who are starving and very poor.
About a week ago it was reported, by a neighbor that SARs was reported at the local hospital Al-Hawooz. There was a mysterious disease that has killed several people in many areas of Jordan, not just my town. Supposedly it has arrived here from some Phillipine people who brought the disease with them (not confirmed)
Today, Al-Hawooz has been evacuated and other than doctors and nurses, all patients have been moved. My neighbor who works as a nurse there told us they were told it is SARS. The news being reported is stating a mysterious disease, acute pneumonia was spreading and contagious.
There has been no official notification by the health department and the only confirmation we have is by this posting today on Flu Trackers.com http://www.flutrackers.com/forum/showthread.php?p=450876
The news is awful and we are told that the virus is in the wind and water and is spreading fast. Nurses and doctors are given useless paper masks and told they are protected. We know those type of masks are useless. I have a huge supply in my home which I stocked a few years ago when the last Avian flu scare hit.

This is a reply to # 1,933,445Thanks everyone. A friend just told me there is a breakout in many other countries too. Not just in Jordan. Like I told my friend, the origination appears to be at out local hospital and it has spread hundreds if not thousands of miles. So what about us guys next door. One woman who works there lives across the street.
So what do I do? No distilled water and if I go to amman, how much water is needed to avoid an epidemic? If I order a distiller, would it arrive or would it be a waste of money.
Spending all your available cash not smart in an epidemic. Cash is gold. So I sit here playing Joker poker with very few options.
Probably will try to fix my pressure cooker lid tomorrow and see if I can find that copper tubing. I am just stunned and in shock and don't know what to do.

Avoid sugar.
Keep warm.

This is a reply to # 1,934,133Thanks. I can get pure oil and can do that. Deaths are increasing and injured are mounting. Now 171 students have sudden eye problems. 100 doctors at Al-Hawooz sick now, more than I can write about.
This is serious. Just imagine if the radiation from Japan can reach America, how about Jordan to America? Not something we are dealing with in the Middle East, this is a world problem.
