As you know from Doc C, the acutally
pounds we weigh, and theweight loss (sometimes quite extreme) isn't much of an issue when IPing. But weakness, cramping and lightheadedness is a group of symptoms you shouldn't ignore. Nor should you ignore it if you feel/sense you're undernourished.
Checklist:
--Are you getting at least 6 tablespoons of Superfood daily?
--Are you getting several cups of Potassium Broth daily?
--Christopher's IP included a tablespoon of Wheat Germ oil 3x daily (plus the daily oil rubs); Dr. Gerson's protocol called for Flax Seed oil daily. Are you getting enough of these/similar oils?
--It takes vast amounts of energy & resources to process the 1/2 - 1 cup of oil used in a typical
Liver Flush (and you had twice that much!?).
Liver Flushing also causes all kinds of toxins to be released and debris to be moved around in the liver...which causes varying levels of stress throughout the body. Although the cramping doesn't sound 'liver related', there's really no way to separate the systems of the body...so check with your doctor within on whether the extreme
Liver Flush you did may have something to do with this. Low blood
Sugar can cause lightheadedness--and that can be liver compromise.
--Adrenal and/or kidney stress can cause your symptoms because both are very integral in balancing electrolytes. The aggressive options you've chosen for your kidney cleansing (watermelon/rind on top of everything else) could be causing an electrolyte imbalance.
Suggestions/options:
--Back off on the watermelon/rind and other diruetics for the rest of the
kidney cleanse and stick with the basic protocol of the morning lemon/lime-cayenne drink and the teas & tinctures.
--Add up to 4-6T of bee pollen daily (for added vitamins, minerals, protein & various amino acids) - I highly suggest we all do this. Be sure to check out the link in this post

Bee Pollen is very high in B5 (a very important nutrient for the adrenal glands).
--If you've been under alot of stress lately (and I can't imagine that you haven't, doing the IP with a full time job), you might want to consider adding Acerola Cherry powder or Amlaa Berry powder to your Superfood. Both are high in Vitamin C...which is INTEGRAL for adrenal health. The only Acerola powder I've found without 'stabilizers' is from Pacific Botanicals

Here's a source for the organic Amla (but their comments saying current research proves it has no/low Vitamin C is definitely incorrect):

I personally prefer the Acerola...for some reason, the Amla seems way too 'harsh' to me.
--If I were you, I would definitely add Gerson's "Hippocrates Soup" for a week or two (or longer). Here's a blog with the recipe/picture and more information:

Unless one has a specific reason to temporarily use more than 6-8 cloves of garlic daily, I don't suggest using more than that for any length of time. So if you've been taking lots of garlic for a long time, I suggest cutting back or eliminating it for a couple of weeks.
Remember, there is such thing as TOO aggressive! It's takes a certain amount of time to demolish and rebuild a building. Any time someone "rushes" the job, or goes too aggressively, too quickly, there's always going to be one type of setback or another. Of course, there are definitely times when it's imperative to be safely aggressive, but just being aggressive for the sake of being aggressive can & will result in setbacks and/or compromise.
I'm glad you posted your concerns. Don't ever ignore what your body is telling you (or symptoms that don't 'seem right' to you & your doctor within).
Healthiest of blessings,
Unyquity
P.S. By the way, YOU and your IP are far more important for you right now than anyone on the forum. If you have all your IP therapies crossed off the list every day, it's fantastic that you're reaching out to assist and teach other folks. But if you don't have everything crossed off the list, it's US that should be supporting YOU.
I am in the midst of dealing with a very harsh lesson about prioritizing other peoples health needs over my own. Trust me, you DON'T want to 'go there'! :)
