I last did a
Liver Flush in 2007. It was my 8th one. My first four, especially the second one had a lot of stones(about 200). The last four had very few, with the last two having zero stones. I know people say you should judge by how you feel, and not the stones, but I was feeling diminishing returns, and decided I had gotten most of the improvements and benefits from those first two flushes. I had intended to do at least one a year to maintain, but stuff happened. But I am now feeling the need to do another. I'm probably way overdue.
But before I did, I wanted to share my story, since I think it will help many people on this forum. I found myself on Curezone because of severe fatigue and allergies that were out of control. I was becoming allergic to more and more things, and was more and more tired. I could barely function. I'd wake up every morning feeling like I got hit by a truck. Investigations on chronic fatigue and fibromalagia, and Lyme disease were done, despite not quite fitting the criteria of those diseases. More than one doctor implied my troubles were in my head. Though I had other doctors who were very kind, and felt bad they had no answers for me. Curezone, was a last ditch effort. And while
Liver Flushes and other cleanses, helped, I knew I wasn't getting to the root of the problem.
I dabbled with both the Candida diet and supplements, and felt better on each, but even when my white tongue disappeared, I was still feeling bad if I went off the diet. (Going off the supplements didn't seem to make a difference.) Some would say I hadn't killed all the Candida, but I was sure I had. So long story short, I read an article on Celiac, and was convinced this was my problem. In the end I was diagnosed with gluten intolerence. My celiac blood panel was technically negative, though 3 of the values were just under positive. But I had a positive skin allergy test to wheat. Based on everything, my doctor told me to avoid all gluten. This was in December 2007, and I can honestly say it changed my life. I am a new person, a healthy person! I can't begin to describe the difference, it is night and day. I went from sleeping 12 hours a night to a more normal 8-9. I can hold down a job now without difficulty, and keep the house clean at the same time. I still have allergies, but they are more normal now. Just a few short weeks of hayfever in spring and fall.
I would implore everyone on these forums to investigate gluten-intolerence. Even if your blood test is negative, try the diet anyway, you have nothing to lose. My best friend from growing up is a family practice doctor, and now regularly tests for Celiac, and diagnoses almost one a week. Even those who test negative, she tells them my story, and suggests they give a gluten-free diet a try. Of those that do, it seems to help at least half of them, she says.
Just to be clear, I'm not writing this as a criticism of
Liver Flushes and the Candida diet. I still take probiotics daily. And the
Liver Flush definitely has health benefits. But IMHO you should see results relatively soon, and if you don't, something additional is wrong. I convinced my husband who has a family history of gallbladder problems, and had horrible acid reflux to try it. He had such an unpleasant experience overnight, he only did one, but what a flush it was! He passed more stones in one trip to the bathroom, than I did in my eight combined. I'm talking thousands of stones. And his reflux improved enough he doesn't take his daily medicine anymore. And he had an "inner tube" of fat around his middle, that went away. So I am a huge believer in liver flushes. But if you are like I was, no history of gallbladder issues, trying it for fatigue and allegies, and just passing 50-100 stones, and getting only marginal relief, by all means, keep flushing, but PLEASE look into celiac/gluten intolerence. It could change your life.
