chemoteraphy is just medical term for treatment with drugs, it is not a word only used for cancer drugs...even if it is mostly used for cancer drugs
any drug treatment is Chemotherapy
But yes curing blasto can probably reduce risk from getting colon cancer. Blasto over many many many years seems to possibly possibly increase risk of colon cancer accroding to one study (If I understand it right)

But do not worry, this I think is only after having it untreated for many many years, and report says genetics also play big role (naturally)... but I guess almost any chronic infection over many many increase risk of cancer, anything that weakens body over many years can give increased risk
