Interesting article from Mike Adams on B12 supplements! I did some research on the Red Star Nutritional Yeast and came up with the following ingredient list on the lesaffre website
http://www.lesaffrehumancare.com/nutrition-health-ingredients/range/nutrition...
Lynside® Forte B + is an inactive dried yeast with added vitamins. The added B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B8, B9 and B12) are known to act in carbohydrate and energy metabolism, immune system, cell growth…

This info is for the lesaffre yeast, they make the Red Star Yeast so i guess you can assume they use the same B12 in the Red Star formula as their base formula.
If you've read Mike's article Cyanocobalamin really isn't a nice option for B12.
I know Dr Schulze uses Red Star in superfood and I "know" it has helped heal people on deaths door.
But i have noticed when I take more than a tbs of yeast my urine is so dark almost straight away and I get some light kidney pain. This doesn't happen with up to 3 Tbs of Superfood mix without the yeast added. Would this mean that the B vitamins are going straight through me and not being absorbed? Because it seems that way to me and would make sense after reading the above article.
Nutritional Yeast has always seemed too good to be true, and has never felt right when i've taken it even though I love the taste and it's very moreish.
Any comments and/or opinions are greatly appreciated!
