Yesterday I went to local NP to get a tongue culture; she did not want to give prescrip for anything incase culture came back negative and then in her mind they could scrape again what is on my tongue. I had my last diflucan tuesday and this a.m. tongue coated like crazy, feeling sick all over, throat hurting. I called clinic again and since this NP is n0t in again til next wednesday, they suggested I go to our local hospital clinic.
The NP there was a real bastard. He would not prescribe anything for me because he did not want to get in the mddle of me already being treated. In fact he suggest I find somebody to talk to. Meanwhile, I am worried about what I will feel like tomorrow and the weekend coming up with no medication at all. Any suggestions?

I was told I was "depressed" and it was insinuated I was making things up or blowing my fatigue out of proportion...granted this was at a clinic for low-income people they probably aren't vbery knowledgable about those sorta things!

My doctor reckons my IBS and recurrent thrush aren't related, although I've explained that the same foods that I have difficulty digesting often directly cause flare ups in thrush symptoms. *sigh*
