I have some puzzle pieces I'm not clearly getting put together..sometimes the harder I try to figure something out, the more muddled it becomes. There is alot of information hidden in hair analysis tests, but it really takes some studying to put the puzzle pieces together. Just looking at the results, without paying attention to the ratios, doesn't tell the story.
I did not know that B12 is cobalt...(?) What brought me to the cobalt/B12, is cobalt showing extremely high, or high for 5 of us. I shouldn't have assumed that it was because of the bomb testing. Maybe I'm off base here too, but because I had a B-12 test, and was surprised to get a high reading, not low as I had expected, I thought it was just my liver not working very well to store it so it wasn't being absorbed..which is part of it.
My question is that if B-12 is not being absorbed..could it show on a hair test as high cobalt too? I don't know if what they are testing is radioactive cobalt or what. I need to find out.

vitamin B-12, also called cobalamin, is a water soluble vitamin with a key role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, and for the formation of blood. It is one of the eight B vitamins. It is normally involved in the metabolism of every cell of the human body, especially affecting DNA synthesis and regulation, but also fatty acid synthesis and energy production. As the largest and most structurally complicated vitamin, it can be produced industrially only through bacterial fermentation-synthesis.
Vitamin B12 consists of a class of chemically-related compounds (vitamers), all of which have vitamin activity. It contains the biochemically rare element cobalt.
