Question about Bentonite

I bought 100% pure Bentonite clay, Aztec Secret brand. On the package it says "FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Do Not Take Internally". I looked, and there are no additional ingredients, just the clay. Is it safe to take this?
I've read on other sites that people do use this internally, but I don't understand why they have that warning on it. Is that just an FDA thing?

Yes, 100% pure calcium Bentonite clay. I think it's just an FDA labeling thing. Unless it's being sold as a medicine or food, it has to be labeled for external use only. Probably less regulations to market as a beauty item.- Re: Question about Bentonite needtobreathe

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,750,498If it state its "food grade" calcium Bentonite clay than you should be ok ingesting it. The FDA does not like natural or alternative medecine, unfortunately.
