Antibiotic Syndrome, Intestinal Candida, Oral Candida, Thrush, Fungus… whatever you want to call it… it sucks and I hate it.

What I am about to share with you will undoubtedly be debated, tried, and perhaps even ignored. Just know that I share this today because it helped me. Years of trial and error and I found something that worked for me. I’m not selling you anything… I’m simply trying to help. BTW, I’m a blunt individual… so some of this will be very raw. Also... what you're going to read here... you WILL NOT hear from a doctor... at least not yet. So you will have to make your own decisions and be an adult about it and not blame anyone but yourself for your decisions. Do your research and make sure something is right for you. Don't blame someone else because you made a decision and it didn't work out because you didn't look into it.

Over 11 years ago, I had an appendicitis/appendectomy. It was horrible. The pain was unbelievable. Well, the surgery didn’t go all that great and they ended up feeding me Antibiotics through the veins, and through my mouth. It was crazy how much they were giving me. The sad part was that I was more or less a stupid kid at that time and couldn’t tell you anything about medicine to save your life.

No one told me that what I was eating and drinking would hurt me even more. Pizza, pop, McDonalds, and beer. Sure, I saw the sticker that said “Do not consume alcohol with this medicine”. Honestly, I thought it would just make me nauseous or something and no one really explained that “YOUR LIFE WILL SUCK IF YOU DO THIS”. So, being the dumb kid that I was, I drank, I was having sex… and the reason that is important is because of the bacterial side of the equation. Let’s break it down (sorry for being brash)

Stupid amount of Antibiotics .
Alcohol – Super food for bad bacteria and fungus
Horrible Diet – Also super food for bad bacteria and fungus - perhaps immune compromising.
Oral Sex – introduction of other bacteria that shouldn’t be around.

Now… who knows… she could have had a yeast problem… I couldn’t tell you because I was drunk. Oops. Maybe it wasn't even her. What I do know is within days of that celebration, I woke up and I was in a bad way. I knew something was REALLY wrong and I had all the classic symptoms of Candida to back it up. But… I didn’t have any kind of “disease” according to the doctors.

My bowels had locked, lots of gas, oral thrush, pain swallowing, taste was gone, etc etc.

Long story short, I went to the doctors, and they didn’t have a clue. Referral after referral after referral and still nothing. Test after test after test and all negative. Even took a trip to the CDC and they couldn’t do anything for me.

This was the beginning of a journey that took well over 3 years before I found what I thought had worked. That’s right, after about three years, suddenly the majority of my symptoms had disappeared. Didn’t take anything different… in fact… I just stopped taking stuff all together… I was tired of pouring money into my body and getting nothing in return. I just quit… I thought that’s what worked. It didn’t. Within a couple years I developed a reoccurring case of sinus infection over and over and over again. So guess what I eventually did after about 4 years of that? I went to the doctor. Guess what he gave me? That’s right… Antibiotics . And like a m*o*o*n, I took them. Three rounds.

So guess what happened next? That’s right, my bowels locked , lots of gas, oral thrush, pain swallowing, taste was gone, etc etc. Only this time… I had blurred vision, constant fatigue, I was highly irritable, plus a ton more symptoms that most of us already know about. Then my locked bowels turned into chronic loose bowels. Was told I had IBS.

So once again… I was back at it… trying to find a cure because all the expensive medicine the doctors were shoving down my throat weren’t working. But then it occurred to me… I never really found a cure to begin with. I wasn’t healed at all. So I decided to start all over.

Needless to say, I hit more books than you can imagine… I searched the net far and wide for different products that fit the information I was finding. So now… over 11 years later… I can tell you now that I believe I have found the cure… at least for myself. Maybe… just maybe it can work for you.

I won’t go into the scientific details of why these things are working, but I will give a brief reason so you can understand that I’m not blowing smoke. Also… a little plug here for college… because college gave me the ability to effectively research. My background is in security and investigations… so I took the tools I learned and applied them to this. So… thanks to the education.

First let me say that docs had made my try Nystatin, Fluconazole, Sporanox, etc. None of them worked. I had ingested more natural supplements than I care to cover here today… none of which really did the trick. Sure… some helped… and I will tell you which ones helped and why. But the moral of the story is that I spent THOUSANDS on crap that literally just went in and out and did nothing for me.

So here we go.

My bowels were not in a good way… first they locked… then I couldn’t get a firm stool for the life of me. ALL LIFE BEGINS IN THE INTESTINES. I had to get those right.

I started making Peanut Butter Kefir. Kefir because that is an amazing probiotic and Peanut butter because it’s sticky and forces the bowels to form. This part I’m sure many will argue “You’re not supposed to have that”… well I took it anyway. I read that foods that contain soluble, or digestible, fiber slow the emptying of the bowels, including rice, potatoes, applesauce, smooth peanut butter, yogurt, and oatmeal. Eat foods that make the stool bulkier, slow down the traffic down there. The longer the probiotic can stay in the intestine... the more chance it has to colonize. That’s just logic.

I used organic peanut butter with no added sugar. I liked it so it was fine. That was step one. Get the bowels to slow down and catch the probiotic... and medicine for that matter. BTW, if you are going to cry about the Peanut butter… try something else. Try the oatmeal, try the yogurt. Yogurt is good for you anyway and has probiotic… but eat lots of it.

Anyway… it took about three weeks to slow my stool situation down… I also learned that you drink your kefir in the morning and try not to drink too much before bed. You’ll wake up with dry mouth which will complicate the oral thrush.

Second, address the fungal issues that are trying to eat me. But you have to know what you’re up against before you can kill it. So what are fungi and what makes them so special?

A fungus is a member of a large group of eukaryotic organisms that includes microorganisms such as yeasts and molds. These organisms are classified as a kingdom, Fungi, which is separate from plants, animals, and bacteria. One major difference is that fungal cells have cell walls that contain chitin, unlike the cell walls of plants, which contain cellulose.

So chitin is the difference? Different from all other life pretty much. But what is Chitin? It is the main component of the cell walls of fungi, the exoskeletons of arthropods such as crustaceans (e.g. crabs, lobsters and shrimps) and insects, the radulas of mollusks and the beaks of cephalopods, including squid and octopuses. In other words… REALLY REALLY HARD STUFF.

Lol… so that explains why they are so hard to kill… and they stay around for what seems to be forever. Think about it… killing fleas is tough work… and you’re telling me that I have microorganism inside of me that have the same kind of wall? Think about it this way… if you sprinkled some of these so called fungus supplements on a flea… do you think it would kill it?

So, we need to penetrate the wall, and keep these things from multiplying while replacing them as soon as possible with beneficial bacteria strong enough to fend them off. THAT is a tall order… or so I thought.

1. To breach the walls… or inhibit the production of chitin you need Lufenuron.
2. To interfere with the fungal cell membrane, increasing permeability, and force it to leak nutrients, essentially killing them... you need Miconazole.
3. To replace the good bacteria, you need lots and lots of probiotic.

The problem… Lufenuron is for animals, Miconazole is for Jock itch and vaginal yeast infections. Probiotic… expensive.

Ok… in all fairness… all of that is true IF and ONLY IF you live in the United States and if you keep relying on companies to tell you what you need to do.

And before I go on… please understand that MANY “medical advances have come from Vets who looked for answers but don’t have their hands tied by the FDA or AMA”. Nice little quote there from my doctor… take it for what it’s worth.

Lufenuron, a benzoylurea pesticide, inhibits the production of chitin. Lufenuron is the active ingredient in the veterinary flea control medication, Program, and the veterinary coformulation flea control, heartworm prevention, and anthelmintic medicine, Sentinel Flavor Tabs. A couple things here… 1) they use it on animals… and 2) It has been used in PRIMATES with great success against fungal infections. So what are the chances that it would work for you… the human… the animal?

And… just FYI… there are places online that sell 100% pure Lufenuron with instructions on how to take it. If it has more than one chemical… don’t take it. You just want Lufenuron.

I took it and it’s safe. I’m still here and better off then before. Of course... I may just be a primate... who knows?

Miconazole – like Monistat… it does alter cell membranes and inhibits fungal enzymes but they don’t sell Miconazole here in the states for oral consumption. You need oral consumption because you have some intestines you need to get to and many of you have this oral thrush situation you need to deal with.

Well, I guess they do sell it now… but this is a VERY recent development and it’s STUPID expensive… it’s called Oravig. The FDA just approved it a couple months ago and I have yet to find a doctor or pharmacist who sells it. If you can find it and afford it... awesome! I"m sure it will work too.

So what are you going to do? My advice is to look overseas. You can buy something called Daktarin which is made for oral consumption. TIP: buy several tubes (like 5) because it runs out pretty quick. I liked the stuff… it has a pleasant taste and I saw improvement in days. I also used a separate tooth brush to rub it into my tongue and gums. Then you swallow it… and it attaches to the intestinal wall… which only helps in my opinion.

Probiotic… this one is easy… start making homemade Kefir and drink it daily and often. It’s cheap to make and is so much better than probiotics in a bottle. Get REAL Kefir grains though. Take the time and order some online. Look at youtube for tips on how to make it. Make this a daily habit for the rest of your life… you’ll thank me. Avoid the store bought Kefir and “Kefir Starter”… what a joke. Doesn’t work or help in my opinion… and it’s expensive. Yet someone else making TONS off of your pain. You can buy GREAT Kefir grains online for like $20 or less and they’ll last you forever. Other than that, you need regular pasteurized milk. Too easy.

So take Kefir, Lufenuron, and Miconazole (Oravig or Daktarin) all at the same time.

Supplements that I know helped… Oregano Oil, Garlic, Orithrush D, and Coconut Oil.

Also… a good multivitamin, Cod Liver Oil, and LOTS of Vitamin C as well.

Avoid sugar, alcohol, bread, anything bleached, stuff like that. I would go over the full list but you probably already know that list… and if you don’t… look up Candida Diet… it does help… a lot. Be strict on it all and you’ll be over this in no time.

Remember… the body doesn’t heal over night… you can only mask the symptoms over night. Real healing takes time... and if I can do this… you can do this. I’m a very impatient OCD SOB.

So how am I today? Well, thankfully I wised up and stopped listening to stupid claims about effectiveness from the companies who make these stupid products. I did REAL research and came up with REAL solutions.

Now, I was dealing with over 11 years of sickness. So it wasn’t instant relief by any stretch. However, it did only take a few weeks before I was in decent shape. And it only took a few extra weeks before I was what I considered to be healed.

Today… I still eat a healthy diet, I still drink my Kefir daily… but I’m not hounded by the symptoms of pain, confusion, and embarrassment. I’m thinner, stronger, and healthier. I feel great! Of course… you’d feel pretty good too if you just came off of 11 years of suffering. Angry of course that the solution was elementary and cheap.

Oh ya... I sleep very sound now too.

Not that doctors have all the answers anyway… or you wouldn’t be here and they wouldn’t be in “Practice”.
