Guys,
I had a root canal (2nd molar) pulled on Tuesday and I think it might be developing an infection. How can I knock this thing out before it gets worse?
The reason I think it might be infected is because of this whitish mucus looking stuff that's building up around the extraction site?
At this point I'm thinking I can rinse with CS and or H2O2. Would that help? Any other ideas? Should I start drinking mass amounts of CS?- Re: Anyone here know how to stop a t... spudlydoo

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,649,949Diluted iodine solution, 50/50 dilution, will kill off any infection, CS is also a good preventative, swishing as well as drinking.

This is a reply to # 1,649,970I was a dental tech in the Air Force 1973 and it sounds like what you got is 'dry socket' and newport is right oil of clove soaked into a tiny piece of gauze pushed down into the socket should get you relief.

This is a reply to # 1,649,980I don't think it's a dry socket because I can clearly see the blood clot. Plus, it doesn't really hurt. I have a tiny bit of pain coming from that area. My concern was the mucus stuff forming around it.
I had the opposite tooth pulled three weeks ago and didn't see anything like this mucus around it. I also haven't ate anything since Monday because I'm trying to keep the socket clean and prevent a dry socket.
Thanks for the help guys! I can always count on the people at Curezone to help out. Much appreciated.

They are very soft when fresh so much easier on tender gums...

This is a reply to # 1,649,949In the interim use h202 diluted and cs. However this will not penetrate into deep tissue or into bone for needed long lasting results so the next important steps are to use clay to draw out infection and use a LED wand which will reach into the tooth and the bone and it WILL solve the infection.
These wands are helpful for many things but awesome for oral situations.
Many alt. dentists are using them instead of using surgery.
Very effective.
Magnetic pulsing also helps but is not as effective as the light units are.
One I like is at Sota Instruments.
