Based upon much research, it is my understanding there are two forms of Candida, the inherent non-budding fungus form and the aggressive yeast form.
It appears that the majority of protocols postulate that the yeast form of Candida must be killed until it reaches minute levels where it can once then be kept 'in check' by healthy level of probiotics. However, to me this theory appears be flawed due to the fact that in a healthy patient, the yeast form is not what is being kept in check, rather it is the fungus form that is kept in balance by the trillions of healthy bacteria. Antibiotics cause the pleomorphism of the Candida into a budding yeast state. If the mycelial or aggressive form exists within the body in even the minutest amounts, once a person has stopped taking the anti fungals, the Candida would then flare up again to it former full blown state. The same can be said for diet, if the yeast form of Candida exists, it would take only little of the wrong food for the Candida to once again become overgrown. This situation which I have just explained is all too common and so frequently reported amongst those who have been treated by Candida cleanses.
Candida must exist in the body in some form due to its inherent role of body decomposing upon death. It can never be eradicated as this would then go against laws of nature. Unfortunately for all too many of us, it is the wrong form. Trace amounts of mycelial cannot be left in the body or they will overgrow at some point, yet they must exist.
My question for those who know then is this, how can one ever truly rid their body of yeast form of Candida and still maintain the fungus form? If one was truly cured, then the occasional Sugar splurge should do little harm and certainly not trigger a flare up. Sugar does little to the general populace because they still retain Candida's fungus form, it is only those who have the yeast form living in the body that are affected.
I think the ultimate objective is not so much to kill the mycelial Candida but rather to cause of reversion to its former state. How can this be accomplished?

I've been trying to talk about how undeceonic acid works on this forum, but I doubt any ppl here really have hope in a simple fatty acid.
Well the McCombs plan as Dr. Jeff says is a combination of an immune boost VIA a detox supplement (which is pretty much Vit. C w/ flavanoids, and Red Clover to stimulate the immune system) and the REALLY important sweating (DOES make a difference with or without this plan) and the Candida Force (which is undeceonic acid or SF722, whatever u want to call it) that does the fungal reversion back to the less aggressive non mycelial yeast form. And once that's all clear in 2 months, add probiotics to colonize and regain health. All this with the diet of course.

This is a reply to # 1,647,078The primary problem with the McCoombs plan (along with every other protocol out there) is that they have all failed to undergo any type of rigorous or stringent testing, namely the gold standard of a double blind placebo with backings my well known medical journals
Most if not all of the current Candida protocols on the market are incomplete. They lack the full ability to cure the Candida permanently. Thus the reason why we are all struggling to find the truth on these forums and elsewhere.
McCoombs maintains that Undelycenic acid is a fungicidal and will rid the body of Candida without being rotated. Dr. Schlesinger of the Modern Herbalist states that Undecylcenic acid must be rotated in combination with other anti fungals or else the Candida will rapidly adapt and thus rendering the anti fungal useless.
So much of the information out there is contradictory. So much of it false. And we the consumer are led in a circle of desperation and confusion, all the while making some charlatan that much richer.

This is a reply to # 1,647,094Take a good hard look at these bloody forums. We have 250+ pages in the Candida Forum and we have yet to come up with anything remotely concrete for the problems which we are dealing with.
These forums are overrun with individuals believing themselves to be an authority on a subject, these people self diagnose problems and they offer unfounded advice to others.
We are in a literal cesspool of confusion. I don't want to contribute to it. I am looking for cold hard facts, not opinions or theories.

Every candida case is an individual case, so no everybody need the same treatment. It is true there isn't anything totally proved to cure candida and that is the reason because we all are here helping each other and looking for solutions. This a medical responsability no a patient responsability. We are doing too much. IMO

This is a reply to # 1,647,106Piffle. Every candidiasis case is NOT individual, and spit in the face of any stethoscoped imb***le or avaricious pill-peddler who says otherwise. BULL. It's just excuses to fall back on once their lauded plans crash and burn and you start threatening to sue them/discredit them/punch them out/torch their house/etc.
Matter of fact, there are exactly as many types of candidiasis as there are strains of Candida spp. Problem is, all the greedy sods who try to make a living off of miracle cures cannot be bothered to research their snake oil's efficacy against specific strains and docs can be unbelievably daft about not wanting to test you for strains even when they finally recognize a problem.
The lit is out there, though. So if you can get a trustworthy list of strains that you have, a medical professional could actually select the best-suited pharmaceutical for your needs. This is a reply to # 1,647,130Like hell. Then again, it's not like I've even identified whether I've got Candida or Aspergillus, much less which strain.
I don't exactly have much (well, ANY) access to any sort of medical care. Just pharmacies w/ all-you-can-eat buffet-style marketing.
PS got way better skin and decent carb tolerance, though. imho, I've managed to annihilate one of several strains, because certain annoying symptoms are gone entirely, while others persist.- Re: Why All Candida Cleanses Fail! JWangSDC

This is a reply to # 1,647,118I didn't want to say there are different candida strains for everybody. Every candida case should be seen individual because the degree of the infection. Some people have a fungal combination with candida, mold, etc. Others have some different candida strains at the same time. Others have underlaying factors like different degree of immunesupression, altered ph, heavy metal toxicity ,diabetes ,or more than one health problem at the same time. So, you can not see every case in the same way.

This is a reply to # 1,647,099I appreciate the cynicism because that's often needed for new discoveries but please don't lose all hope. We're all here trying to get cured and there is a lot of misinformation, bitterness, and mostly just misunderstanding. It's been a year since I started trying to get rid of candida and including myself I've had 4 people who are on the journey with me. We've all started with varying degrees of health and we've all done the Metametrix test so we've seen some concrete evidence of what works and doesn't. I intend to get well and I'll be here to share it with you when I do and I'm just asking for your honest experience, even if it's all negative. Any knowledge is helpful.

I also plan to ask Dr. Jeff why he "banished" you. I doubt you were banned for no reason.
I remember reading some of your posts and you weren't too respectful of HIS actual forum, and you rattled on and on about how probiotics don't colonize.. You're worried about that? How sick are you? If you start to feel well and calm again, daily probiotics are your big issue?
What are you really doing for your health?

Where are the real evidences (medical, scientific) that show that is real??? Have you seen how many links, opinions, references you can find about the fact Liver Flushes is an scam???? I see you get impressed by anything you find, like Mc Combs plan. To feel better battling an intestinal candidiasis you don't need to give your money to anybody a little bit more smatter than you. Follow any anticandida diet you find around and add some supplements such as GSE, Oregano Oil, Caprilic Acid, Olive Leaf Extract, etc and you will see some benefits. There is nothing special about Thorne FS-722 that any other fatty acid or natural "antifungal" can not reach. Do something better, and I can tell you it will work... Take Threelac for 3 months and follow an smart diet and you are going to get better results than with any other natural antifungal. Yes, you have a lot of ways to feel better for a while. Does it mean you are cured??? I don't think so. I don't come to this forum to argue against anybody but you look like this kind of person who like that. If you are lucky with Mc Combs plan, congratulations!!! Good for you and please, share your experience. That may be the missing link for us.

Arguments can and will ensue. And that's a good thing. If you can't deal with this forum being essentially a collective brainstorm of what a bunch of people got from personal experimentation or dug up in Google, well, then you're just not getting how this works here...
