I am in heavy detox, which I am trying to rejoice in as it means the fast is working and my body is really healing. I can feel myself aware that I need after the fast, or in life generally, to really learn to respect my body when it cannot handle food. I can "feel," now during the fast, how it hurts me so badly when I eat too much at once or eat at times when I am not hungry. I think I have to be really attentive to the most subtle "stop eating" signals my body gives. I think this is the major lifestyle change my body is asking for. This is really hard. I am going to have to get support with it, real support. But I also know that when I start respecting my body this way, I will feel really really great.
For now I am resting in bed, as fasting protocol suggests. I do get scared by this aspect of fasting, by my inability to move around very much, but I know I do not need to be afraid. ... Support messages please!!! I have heard from or read about many on CureZone Forums who have found the way out of candida/intestinal bacterial imbalance by fasting!

I too have had great results in the past, fasting.
I have always felt my liver had suddenly all the latitude to detox plenty and take care of the equilibrium it is fighting to restore. It felt great to give my metabolism a chance to work at it plenty.
What I ve found difficult with fasting is that I need time off. I badly needed it back then I even did one during my holiday in THailand. Where I would go for short trips and lie in my hotel bed most of the day. Healing at its best!
When you will decide to end. Make sure you start slowly with liquid first (soup, yogurt, eggnog...) and then very small meals. You have to set your liver and pancreas back to the digest mode. And keep thinking at the probiotics too. Green food or Super Food (it has got many names and brands) is ideal when you stop the fast (check for the list of ingredients for candida No No).
Doing a little trip inside your soul is also imperative. Go to the center of your being: focus on your tummy, feel the emotions coming from there, the ones which stabilize. Doing deep breathing exercises along is good intestinal massage - But mostly it grounds you to the present - Into the NOW, into yourself, its a pecious moment.

This is a reply to # 1,618,498Hey, good for you! Even tho I am skeptical that this will cure your candida, I am always willing to be wrong. So, if it works, you have to come here and let everyone know! I don't have the resolve to fast. but it sounds like you are doing great!

This is a reply to # 1,618,880It helps, a bit, with candida itself... And a lot with transitioning to a highly limited, very strict candida diet.
HOWEVER, DON'T EXPECT IT TO CURE YOU. It won't. You will pick up some improvement, but probably in the single-digit percentages... (unfortunately, most if not all anti-candida methods and treatments, save for months of diet+antifungals, are like that)
It's a start, though, so congrats... Be sure to follow up any successes with something to make em stay, and not just be temporary improvements!!!
