From what I've gathered, Andy recommends various vitamins and mineral supps during DMSA/DMPS chelation taken in small frequent doses as he recommends doing with chelators. Though it is unclear whether or not dosing DMSA or DMPS simultaniously with minerals will lessen its effects on the unwanted metals. It would seem to me that if you take minerals AND strong chelators that like to attach itself to these loose minerals, even before absorbtion, they would likely cancel eachother out. You will then get minimal benifits from both the minerals and chelators, as the chelators will have bound up the essential minerals that you are trying to suppliment with and since the chelator has already bound to these minerals it is no longer free to chelate the mercury. Seems a bit of a self-defeating approach.
Would it not be better to initially load up on the minerals and to support the Liver/Kidneys/Adrenals to an "acceptable" level of function before starting on the chelators? Then after some time chelating, you take time off to replenish the depleted minerals, doing either seperatly (remineralize, chelate, then remineralise, then chelate again...) but not simultaniously.
