is it not a good idea to work on a cruise ship for months at a time , are they like a hospital ? like a plane ???

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,165,110I assume they spray the crap out of cruize boats and like staying in a floating hotel. The wife booked a disney cruise for the boys this summer vaccation, so I will know first hand in a few months.

This is a reply to # 1,165,144hmm yes so much humidity would need alot of spraying , also i would bet they spray so as not a single germ get a pasanger sick. These are not young healthy people typicly only grown up with cash that are fragile to germs.
Never the less , these ships these days are sooooooo beautiful inside .

When i was a kid i went to disney land but on a diet of icecream cholate , cotton candy i was like all the rest ,tired , growchy and could not go on any rides. Toxic kids will be a lesson your kids will see at disney land and realize how pricless YOU are MH for keeping them top notch. HAVE an EXCELLENT TIME !!!! you desearve it

This is a reply to # 1,165,110The air flow is a little better on cruise ships and there is always the option to go outside.
Having said that, when a few people on a ship get sick or the flu, everyone seems to get sick.

This is a reply to # 1,165,110My understanding of cruise ships is that they aren't subject to health codes or random health inspections as would say a hotel on land due to their being on international waters most of the time.
Making cleanliness around food prep areas and such not as important.
Hence the outbreaks of sicknesses on those ships.
Also I read that most of the crew are not paid much and are mostly from third world countries where conditions are not usually very sanitary.- Re: Cruise ships toxic like planes... #77336

This is a reply to # 1,165,319very big generalization you have made there. many different cruisers around and you can not just generalization that all use third world workers.
cruisers operate under maritime admiralty law but so does everything around you!
