I have a vaginal candida flare up and a sore throat that's actually scrathy, not sore. Over the past few days I've had white spots on my gums only where my gums meet my teeth that when I rub off looks like "skin" (onion peel really) and doesn't come back. I immediately thought thrush. Now, when I got to thinking about it, I recently started brushing (last couple of weeks) with undiluted 3% H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) and was wondering if my real problem is just burned gums. There is nothing on the inside of my cheeks, back of throat or my tongue. What do you think? The soreness after wiping off the places went away by morning.

This is a reply to # 1,084,097Very good possibility that you are burning your gum tissue. Think about this--if hydrogen peroxide can take the color out of your hair, what can it do to sensitive gum tissue?
Now, I have burnt myself in various ways too (I once burnt myself "down under" using a tea tree oil douche) so don't feel bad. Sometimes our Science experiments just go bad.
If your gums are not sore now, just leave them alone and maybe use a toothbaste like biotene (no floride or harsh detergents) for awhile. If your gums are sore, I would consider going to get some tri-salts (cal/mag/pot power mix) and swishing that around in your mouth a few times a day for a couple days.
As for the vaginal area I would suggest inserting a cap of good probiotics of there for a couple of days. I found that really works for me.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,084,097I had a similar thing happen to me when I rinsed my mouth with 3% H2O2: namely my tongue turned white the next day and would stay like that for a couple of days.
I think that H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) actually kills good bacteria better then pathogens and candida. As a result, candida develops and you get white spots, white tongue etc.

This is a reply to # 1,086,765no, H202 does not kill good bacteria because good bacteria are oxygen breathing. They are not killed by the release of oxygen. It only kills bad bacteria.. As for the whiteness and sensativity in your gums- you definitely have oral thrush (yeast infection) in your mouth and its quite severe from what you have described. I would cut back on the h2o2 treatments, but don't brush with the h2o2, just do a mouth swish with the 3% every day or maybe a few times a day. The tissue in your gums is too sensitive right now from the thrush and the brushing is aggravating it. Using the h2o2 by itself will make the gums stronger and healthier over a period of time you will notice that they just look healthier and feel more firm. I would also recommend right now doing a Sea Salt mouth swish to help disinfect and heal the soreness in your mouth.. this is also really great for your gums too. Also you may wanna look into a natural bristle toothbrush that has soft bristles.

This is a reply to # 1,087,551Now I'm the original asker and I have to believe that I burned my gums. I have no soreness of the gums now, nor have I had any other "spots." I had no spots on my tongue, cheeks or roof of the mouth -- just the gums area that I brushed (right where my gums meet my teeth) with the peroxide. When i wash my mouth with H202. Well it hurts inside my gums, it hurts inside my teeth also. But it is decreasing, and after each mouthwash i feel my gengivas is more firm.
