anything is better than the aluminum, fluoride, chlorine and ammonia(at the least) in tap water. if you must buy water, buy distilled water. walmart is cheap and it is very clean according to my tests for making
Colloidal Silver by using conductivity. your area may be different.
i dont know anything about your distiller. i say trust yourself. if it doesnt taste right, dont drink it. check the materials it is made from. V gave a good way of checking the stainless in the heating part. if a magnet sticks to it, it is not of good quality. i must also say that this does not make sense to me. i would think stainless with high nickel content would not be magnetic yet would not be good. there is much about metallurgy i do not know. secondly, it is hard to tell these days what is coming out of china. i think the quality out of there runs the gammut from good to very poor. buyer beware never meant so much as now. and third, if youre keeping it clean, the plastic taste could be coming from a hose or a fitting or the container the water is collected in. try finding a substitute for some of those if possible.
otherwise, it is a toss-up. i dont know whether plastic containers of water from the store or the plastic in your distiller is worse. if pressed, assuming the plastic flavor is pretty bad from the distiller, i would give the edge to the store containers. at least they have not been exposed to heat. you can always transfer into glass and set out in the sun a couple of days. the uv will break down any chemicals leached into the water from the jugs. i love my yard water.
