Youth at the 2nd Festival of Traditional Medicine of the Americas were enthralled by the act of grinding ancient wheat into flour.
Youth and teachers will be inspired by ancient wheat as a teacher as we grind grain into flour, and plant our dreams with heirloom seeds. Seeds say: "Turn toward eating organically grown and non gmo foods! Take your Sacred Seed out of the Pizza Box and Plant Your Dream!" More

Eileen Wallace explains to me, Leslie her vision for the Kid Area. Nadine helped me drive the Enchanted Garden Mobile, my 68 VW Van from San Diego to Santa Rosa and beyond for this show. I felt I needed to be there.

GRINDING WHEAT WITH KIDS AT THE 2ND ANNUAL NATIONAL HEIRLOOM EXPO, 2012
Nadine spent time with the kids grinding ancient KAMUT® brand Khorasan wheat to show how grain turns into flour. This was a fun activity for the the children.

You helped me realize what kind of food I was eating, and how much it affects my health. You also helped me to be aware of my dreams being affected by the food that has been genetically modified and I thank you for that. You inspired me so much when you talked about the dreams being planted, and the moment that I planted my dream in the soil was the moment that I knew that I could become a model--that is, if I am healthier and maintained a nutritious diet.
