Re: Real history?
by zoho 12 y
I’ve seen this canard before... Mortality is being represented in all the graphs while the ”Real history” of vaccinations is the spectacular drop in incidence rates over time - NOT displayed here. Mortality certainly has dropped due to advances in medical care and, to some extent, sanitation measures over the years but lowering the incidence with vaccinations reduces the suffering, health care costs, long lasting effects and sometimes permanent debilitations caused by largely preventable diseases.

Sanitation?
by zoho 12 y
You maintain that public sanitation alone has overwhelmingly reduced the incidence of all major infectious diseases?
Advances in public sanitation measures have, undeniably, been a factor in disease prevention throughout history. The ancient Romans had it all figured out with aqueducts and public toilets that fed into extensive sewer systems in their communities. The middle ages was a dark era rife with superstitious misunderstandings of disease etiology (demons, spells & miasmas) and mostly ineffective and sometimes atrocious folk remedies but Dr. John Snow’s thoroughly ...

Re: Possible liver flukes and bad breath
by zoho 12 y
Do you swim in ponds contaminated by cow or sheep feces?
A mature fluke in the liver or intestines produces 20,000+ eggs a day which are excreted into the bowel. The best diagnostic methodology is microscopic examination of trichrome stained slides properly prepared from stool samples in a medical laboratory specialized in parasitology. The Fasciola Hepatica eggs are large in comparison to many parasite ova and have very distinctive identifing charactoristics when viewed with a microscope. Any licensed laboratory technologist who cannot identify them should be fired!

Report with a formal complaint the lab who did the parasite examination of your stool specimen and failed to find ova or mature flukes to your state’s Department of Health. Be sure to include ample documentaion of your contraindicating evidence that you really do have flukes and/or the eggs that the lab failed to find or identify. When the DOH investigates, it’s not very pretty - I’ve experienced it! They send experts in the field of laboratory science to examine every process, procedure and record in the lab. The original stained slides, which are required to be archived by the lab, wil ...

VAERS: Worst possible resource
by zoho 11 y
”Based on information compiled from the official government Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)”
Wow!
VAERS is possibly the worst possible resource (except maybe Whale.to) for any credible study evaluating vaccination safety. It’s a totally passive collection system where ANYONE submit a report, regardless of their knowledge of symptomology and etiology of disease. The objective of the collection is to provide a way to collect raw data as a crude barometer of post-vaccination effects that might be followed up by CDC if a pattern is seen in bio-statistical analysis. Subm ...

Gardasil Autopsies Reveal Cerebral Damage --- REALLY???
Concerning: ”Death after Quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination: Causal or Coincidental?” by Lucija Tomljenovic & Christopher A Shaw...
How this paper get past professional pre-publication editorial review is a mystery! It’s likely because the paper was published in an ”open” resource not known for stringent scientific peer-review. Tomljenovic & Shaw have a well-known track record of poorly conducted and biased research. Additionally, the study was funded by a foundation with a not so veiled anti-vaccination ...

First of all, this is isn’t really ”newly published”, it’s from last year:
BMJ Case Reports 2012; doi:10.1136/bcr-2012-006879
Once again, this ”study” has all the hallmarks of the anti-vax movement’s continued struggle to find some kind (ANY KIND) of scientific credibility by trotting out biased (COI: one of the authors is on the board of an organization that opposes Gardasil)
and shoddy ”research”.
A single case in a single study is NEVER the definitive word and - mark my words - a large scale replication study, if ever undertaken, will NEVER validate this study. The obvio ...

You are likely misinterpreting Dr. Diane Harper’s overall postion on HPV vaccination. Dr. Harper published a paper in 2011 (two years after what you are quoting) in a reputable Obstetrics and Gynecology journal:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3216348
"Next Generation Cancer Protection: The Bivalent HPV Vaccine for Females"
Lead researcher, Dr. Diane Harper, wrote:
"Cervarix is an excellent choice for both screened and unscreened populations due to its long-lasting protection, its broad protection for at least five oncogenic HPV typ ...
