Hi Moreless,
It’s a very interesting concept how alkaline and acid substances interact to create the energy your body needs. There was a misunderstanding about the thyroid. Yes I cured my HYPOthyroidism (underactive thyroid) by doing a detox which removed mercury (known to suppress the thyroid). In my case, it was so bad that I had to take thyroid hormone for three years which I stopped right after I did the detox. Once, my thyroid started to work again and I stopped taking the thyroid hormone supplement, it was producing too much thyroid hormone and I now had HYPERthyroidism which broug ...

--Different Reasons for pH--
by moreless 17 y
Hi west,
Your comment: My ph was above 7 when my thyroid stopped working and this was before I found out about the alkalizing drink. Then after I did a detox and after two months my thyroid started to work on its own. Then, after being on two alkalizing drinks a day with a tablespoon of Frontier kelp for eight months, and a few alkalizing baths, my thyroid stopped to work again even though my ph was 7-7.5. So, maybe what you say is true for most people but not for me. If I already have the needed alkaline minerals as evidenced by my ph and taking a tablespoon of Frontier kelp which is ...

I have to say that kelp never helped me as I had been taking powedered kelp daily until three years ago when my thyroid stopped working and had to take thyroid hormone. My problem was mercury from mercury fillings. After I did a detox, the thyroid started to work last October. I have read that mercury displaces iodine and that it may destroy the thyroid cell membranes. Now, my problem is that I am kind of hyper and have to stay away from kelp and iodized salt. Maybe your body stores iodine for a long time as I went three years with taking thyroid hormone. I have to eat cabbage two-three ti ...

So in your thoughts would an Adrenal Dominant person react more or less favorably to the Laminaria Digatata?
Could you also explain what you mean specifically by a thyroid dominant vs. adrenal dominant person? Does thyroid dominant refer to a stronger thyroid, weaker adrenals or that the thyroid is weaker and needs help?

If the doctor put her on Synthroid it must be because the blood test showed a high TSH which always proves that the thyroid is not producing enough hormone. Doctors don’t put you on thyroid medication if your TSH is normal. And the doctor doesn’t make any money on the Synthroid she is taking. What you said about the high potassium causing the adrenals to put out less than the necessary adrenaline to prevent fatigue has nothing to do with the thyroid not producing enough thyroxine. If that was the case, then everybody whose potassium level is high which is not hard to do since so many fo ...

Re: --answer--Can Kelp Cause Hypothyroidism?

Thanks for the answer. It could be then that too much kelp prevents the utilization of sufficient iodine which the thyroid uses to make thyroid hormone. And this can be counteracted by taking more ACV or lemon so that you still have enough acids to react withe the alkaline kelp. I have been taking one tablespoon of AVC, BSM,calcium hydroxide solution (one tablespoon in one gallon of water). Then I added on tablespoon of kelp. So you are saying to add maybe one tablespoon of AVC for the one tablespoon of kelp? How does one know what ratio to use? And could one use too much AVC? As far as ...

I have been using the kelp regularly...1-2 tablespoons per day, however, with more study, I’ve started studying goitergens - foods which tend to inhibit iodine absorbtion/utilization by the thyroid.
I’ve been eating alot of goitergen producing foods - especially peanuts for the past two months. My blood test reveals a thyroid that is descending in thyroid producing hormones (t3 & t4).
I’m going to delete the goitergens and concentrate more on the kelp & atomidine.

Hi neo,
This may make your dominating Glands to be of the Pituitary and the thyroid and the adrenal gland to be of less effect on your body functions !
So, your thyroid is more active in relationship to the Adrenal !
One has to look at the ratios , not what some doctor has to say about the gland it’s self !
So, in comparing the ratios, your thyroid is more overactive, in comparsion to the Adrenal and thus why you may not put on weight as much as a person who is more dominate in the adrenal glands !

For when the thyroid gland is not functioning properly, because it may be Sick and or Diseased, and it then starts to recieve some proper Electro-magnetic Energy from the Iodine and other Alkaline Minerals which may be contained in the Kelp, then many reactions may come about as the thyroid is being allowed to start functioning again!

I was taking thyroid hormone for three years and then my thyroid started working again after doing a mercury detox 18 months ago. My TSH was 5.6, then last July it went to 8.19 while my free t3 and t4 levels were normal. I attributed my high TSH to eating cabbage twice a day since I went little hyper when my thyroid started to work 18 months ago. Cabbage suppresses the thyroid and I think that it needed more stimulation thus the higher TSH. My bowel movements are just as fast as when I was using the epsom salt and calcium hydroxide and the alkalizing drink tastes much better. The price difference is negligible. The reason I stopped using epsom salts is because it contains sulfur. The sulfur-iodine cycle is a series of thermochemical processes used to produce hydrogen. What my suggestions may be is to learn to provide your body with the needed Alkaline Minerals so that the Acids in your body and the Acids in the food which you may choose to eat may have enough Alkaline Minerals to react against to provide for the production of Electrical Energy Release so that your body may operate!
This also means that you may want to take extra Calcium of some form to react against the Acids so that you may get Electrical Energy Release from Calcium!

I have heard that selenium is necessary for the iodine to be used properly by the thyroid. You may get enough from your diet, but if you feel you need a little more, just a few Brazil nuts daily should be all you require... in addition, if you are using any products (tooth paste may be one) or water with fluoride or chlorine in them, stop! Apparently these compete with the minerals necessary for normal thyroid and/or pineal gland function.

Precautions
Sudden, large doses of iodine may impair the production of thyroid hormones, causing hypothyroidism temporarily in someone with otherwise normal thyroid function. Excessive iodine intake can also increase the risk for other thyroid diseases such as Hashimoto’s, Graves’, certain thyroid cancers, and thyrotoxicosis (a dangerous condition due to an excessive amount of thyroid hormones in the bloodstream). For these reasons, iodine supplementation is not recommended for people who live in areas where iodine levels are sufficient.

From your link , the reasons for Hypothyroidism:
Iodine Insufficiency
It’s strongly proposed that millions of individuals develop hypothyroidism due to the lack of adequate iodine intake, which in turn is due to soil depletion and lack of iodine in our diet. Since iodine is necessary in the synthesis, storage and secretion of thyroid hormones, a deficiency of iodine can result in hypothyroidism.
